all our petrochemical needs can be satisfied by this plant.
You couldn't' be more right. I live in CA, and despite wishing for legalization for about 20 years now, I voted no last year. I read the law and hated it. Incredible regulation and taxes. An entire state bureaucracy will be created to manage and enforce rules/laws. I predict, quality will go down, cost will stay the same but is likely to increase. The customer will pay for all that overhead. The shop has to make huge margins because they pay tax on gross, not net from city to state to federal. The second the Feds loosen regulation on banking for MMJ business, is the same second I will be investing in certain companies.

Back to moral of story, hemp. The legalization law that was passed in CA only allows for 1/10th of an acre of hemp to be grown on a property. A property owner can only use one parcel of land to be a legal hemp grower, even if they own 2, 3, or 5000 separate pieces of land. 1/10th of an acre. Nothing. Certainly nothing to support an industry...

They still invest in tech :)

Technically fossil fuels are a renewable resource, it just takes longer to renew them.

Plus there are big giant rocks floating around in space that have lots of great stuff. Who else has the capability to mine them? It isn't like individuals are going to make it there on their own.

Having said that, the petrochem industry is a nemesis of hemp - all our petrochemical needs can be satisfied by this plant.
will you 2 shut the fuck up about fuels and stop acting like you know anything about that industry or growing even lmao.

Well that is americanism for you. The solution is to move somewhere else. If you can't, you have to adapt. Rules of nature apply, we humans have only made them more complicated.

Way down the road when everything is settled in countries going through legalization this will be treated no different than any other commodity crop. Just like in the food chain, we have commercial producers and small niche producers both of which will find a balance. For hobbyists and enthusiasts, the retail value should not impact them since it they are producing for reasons other than profit.

Those small niche producers competing to make a profit will be squeezed out over time as the retail price plummets to a slim profit margin over operational costs. Right now it is still early market with quite a risk/reward factor and will have a relatively short window to make profit.

Its refreshing to see others being able to see the large global pictures. I agree 100% with what you said above, except the moving part, its the best country in the world! haha. I do finally understand why Humboldt and Mendocino counties were strongly against any medicinal or legalization efforts. It eventually undermines the quality, for the masses anyway. So, I'm choosing to remove myself from the horde and provide myself with some top shelf. I was fortunate to live in Humboldt for a year, there is nothing better than great outdoor from Humboldt.

As with any investing, timing is critical. It wouldnt be a long play, just ride the wave for a while, take my cut, and bail.

hey sixstring, what sort of wattage do you have directly over one of those bigger plants? trying to get an idea if i should do less bigger plants or stay the course. looks like they are taking up about 3x3-4x4 for each one of those bigger ones.

I'm pretty sure it's somewhere back in this thread but he said his bigger plants cover about a 5'x5' space.
