I was originally planning on just doing an outdoor grow but in MA the plants cant be seen with use of binoculars or from the sky. planning on doing a 12 plant grow (legal max per household)this season and have no idea what size greenhouse i should be looking for. im not looking to grow monsters but would like 12 plants.

How much do you want to harvest is the real question?

harvest isnt really an issue. as big as theyll get in a 7 or 10 gallon smart pot. i'm mainly doing this to get a few crosses going and have enough space to veg enough next season to find a good pheno of each.

I think that 10×15 gh corso suggested will be a good fit. For that small of a pot you can plant late. Or they will be very hard to take care of for a long season.

'Greenhouse' is a fairly general term used a lot. I'm not an expert on them, but I do know there can be a lot of difference between one cover and another. Some 'greenhouses' are used for seedlings or plants that need part or full shade. These will have a darker/more light absorbing cover. This won't be ideal for weed (except for when it is a seedling).

Then you get some that have just plain see-through glass. That's probably too visible for you though, right?

But just to give a quick tip; there is a type of plastic like cover you can get which 'diffuses' the light. That means it can let the full spectrum and intensity through, but you can't see anything but a silhouette because it 'minces' the light right up. It looks white/frosted like. This is probably the best kind of option for a private but 'full sun' 'greenhouse'.

I made a greenhouse out of a material like that it is called solex it lets in plenty of light and hides what's inside.

Here are a few pictures of my little hobby greenhouse 12ft by 8ft,it's a bit small i agree with 757 growin on the size. I didn't bother to weigh my weed but i got 67 quart jars full of the top buds and about 8 gallons of popcorn buds. I run a swamp cooler in the day and an exhaust fan at night to move the air and keep it cool.I framed it up with 2 by 4s and skinned it with Solex film and t1 11 siding.I made my own door and use a regular keyed door knob so that is locked and out of sight. the draw back to something like this an extended power outage on a 100* day it would heat up like a oven.

1728 sqf, a 12x12 area for each plant. Anything less you will be upset.

So many people claim greenhouse, when they only provide a coverish type bs for their plants. Greenhouse is greenhouse, not roll up tent weed.

If you ever come out this way I'll show you a sweet screen house complex. Like a greenhouse but all screens on the side. On the few cold nights here they roll down plastic sides to enclose it. Pretty sweet.

I got an "annex" and put a bunch out there this week. I'll plant my property this week. I still am trimming the stuff I put out in September and harvested in December myself.

You can get opaque greenhouse coverings that should comply with the law. You cant see thru it. provides a diffused light in the greenhouse.

I thought was was the only one still trimming. An electric trimmer is my next weed related purchase.
