slimmy rockwool help

i was going to clone so i put my rockwool in downed ph water over night just took it out of the water its slimmy and smells bad. whats wrong what should i do thanks for any help

its filtered water

i put the ph at about 4 to 4.5 rockwool is i think 1 in

Flush it with some filter water, see what its like, is it easy for you to get more ?

get more of what?

Rockwool, if the slimy stuff doesn't look useable after you rinse it.

ok thanks ya i have more rockwool.ok i will rinse would letting the rw dry help it,should i just use grow rocks

I just use 1/4 strength bloom nutes about 5.5pH, for rockwool soak.

how long do you soak them for maybe i soaked mine to long

30min, then pour some fresh veg nutes through, I've read, its the phosphate that is good to prep the new rockwool, thats why I use bloom for the soak.
