I just picked up My medical license to slow the smoke down and start eating it instead...

Every time I eat an edible from the dispensary or My own batch of coconut oil.
The effects take hours to set in... I don't mean 1 or 2. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 hours. I know that stomach contents can fluctuate time but this happens every time I eat weed... I have always thought to have a high metabolism but this one is stumping Me....

Thoughts ??

some say lecithin promotes uptake of thc in edibles, like a tbsp per cup of cannabutter or coconut oil. give it a try, it may work for you

When making large batches i usually get pretty high while baking from topical absorption and ill lick my fingers so i guess sublingual
Try a dif roa and your own product.
Its best to decarb hash oil if you grow or can use extracts.. also easier to accurately dose
Try ingesting your coconut oil solution in capsules even

4 or 5hrs just doesnt work in my head though.

Oh and so i dont sound nasty i mean like shaping cookie dough or using my finger to clean the bowl etc...
Feel effects in minutes from straight saturated oil

How high is Your tolerance ????

If you have a high tolerance, that's certainly a factor. But everything I've read says you should feel the effects withing 30 min - 2 hours. One thing that is different with edibles is that much of the processing of THC in your body when you eat edibles is being done by your liver. Would you consider your liver to be healthy?

Additional info from HIgh Times - "Once inside your liver, THC is converted into another chemical called 11-hydroxy-THC, which is actually more potent, explaining the intensity of an edibles high."
