Yeah I might have to breakdown and try the Rhino Skin. Its only $13 for 250ml and that should last me quite awhile with this small set up.
I just finished two full runs. 1st one confirmed that it works. Stalks much stronger and good yeild. Second taught me to not over do it. Too much causes harsh and heavy smoke. I'm now going half strength and stopping at end of stretch (about end of week 3) Just sharing.

That's about the way I do it too. About 1/4 dose once in a while for smaller plants in pots and up to a 1/2 dose for larger ones but only every 4 or 5 waterings. Another 1/2 dose when I'm going to flip to flower and maybe one more at the end of stretch. Leaves seem to get thicker if you use too much for sure.

Yeah, That sounds about right. I try not to over do anything as I am growing 100% personal here. I would rather have slightly lower yields and great smoke.

I think Purolator lost my tent. I have been tracking it and it stopped in Toronto on the 17th at 1:45am and hasn't moved since! I sent an email to Purolator and they said they can't do anything if depots aren't scanning the packages. My tent combo was sent out in five boxes, how the hell do you misplace or not scan all five packages?

Its one day late and Purolator can't help wtf?

Where did it ship from? Was watching a couple of news items about the backlog of overseas mail plugging up the system because so many people are shopping online and taking the free shipping option to get a better deal. The deal is it can take up to 5 months now for parcels from out of the country, (especially China due to all the drugs coming in from there), to be inspected and cleared for local delivery. Toronto and Edmonton were particularly bad.

Even parcels shipped from a Canadian location are getting hung up because the feds are too cheap to put more inspectors on to clear up the backlog. Just like Hellth Canada. :)

Just keep them under the lights and they'll be fine for a month or more yet tho it's kinda like dad saying Xmas is on hold this year. LOL

Shipped from Grow Lights Canada located in Niagara on the Lake. I ordered my nutrients from there too and it was here in three days. Hopefully they find my stuff.

I go to the store with cash in my pocket. Closest store is 2 hours away and not well equipped and the good one is 5 hours away in Edmonton. I can call and order there, get a total and he'll ship it right away if I need it in a rush before I've even sent the money. Post Canada is about the cheapest and usually no more than 3 or 4 days. Plain brown wrapper and just a person's name on the return address so as stealth as can be. Shipping is really expensive to get stuff this far north so I'd rather pick it up if I have to go there but that's not often.

I got some nutes sent up once and Purolator wanted $78. Can Post was $18.90. 4 - 1L jugs and a jar of Big Bud in one box. Would have cost more for the shipping than the goods. :)

Any orders over $100 ship free in Canada from Grow Lights Canada. My first shipment went without issue . I am positive his latest shipment is delayed because of purolator, not the grow company.

Well I have her rigged in!
I turned the 1000w MH down to 50%, the exhaust fan is at medium speed and blowing through the air cooled hood then out into my garage. I'm going with a passive fresh air intake for now but I will have something better figured out for the flowering stage.

Passive intake is fine. That's all I've ever used. Put the money you save towards something else to make growing better/easier. There always something like a Temp/RH controller so your exhaust fan only runs when it has to and maintain nice even temps and humidity.

Looks pretty good all set up. Shiny and new like a freshly minted dime. :)

Here it is all set up for the seedings. They have been in here about 1 hour all sealed up and the temp was holding steady at 21.4c so I slowed my exhaust fan to low to drive the temp up a couple degrees.

Well the girls made it over night in their new home. Going to have to get a thermostat to bring the temp up a bit, either that or crank up the power on the light to increase the heat, currently I'm having issues getting it over 22c.

Never in a million years did I think I would be having issues trying to keep a tent with a 1000w light in it warm especially in the summer months!

22 isn't bad. I aim for 22 - 25 and mine has been holding almost dead on 23 for a while. I have a remote thermometer in there so get the temp displayed on my Atomic Clock above my monitor. Grow room temp on the right and man-cave temp on the left.

You still have your light on 50%? When those digital ballasts have actual watt settings like 400-600-1000 then you should have a bulb that matches the wattage as it's hard on the larger bulbs to be run at the lower settings I've heard. Also if it has a boost setting it's hard on the bulb to use that too. My 1000W Hortilux HPS conversion bulb cost me $170 and I'm treating it like a baby. It is actually only 940W but is designed to work in my 1000W MH magnetic ballast which has no alternative settings.

I'd think about getting a small T-5 unit or some CFLs for getting seedlings and small plants going. Even a shop light works great for small stuff and saves a lot of power. 23¢/KWH here so it's almost $90/mth just to run my 1000W 12hrs/day. Have a 400W going in the spare bedroom 18hrs/day so there's another chunk of change that's hard to come up with.

A Temp/RH controller would work great for you to keep the temps up a bit and only run your fan when needed.

The ballast is a dimable 1000w digital ballast, it has no 400w, 600w & 1000w options because according to the manufacturer (I called them) it was making people think their 1000w digital ballasts were compatible with 400w & 600w bulbs. They now are marked with 50%, 75%, 100% and Super Lumens settings, all for 1000w bulbs. They also said they don't recommend staying at 50% for long though as it is harder on the bulb than the 75 & 100% settings. They also don't recommend the super lumen settings for more than a couple weeks in the flowering cycle as it is also hard on bulbs.

The only reason I am still at 50% is because I want to make sure I don't burn the seedlings. Also the bulb would also be easier and cheaper to replace than the seedlings would be right now.
