Small ACMPR Kush Berry Grow

Well everything seems to be going well with the new equipment other than blowing the ducting off of my inline fan a few times but it wasn't something that couldn't be fixed with a quick trip to the hardware store for half a dozen 6" hose clamps.

The seedlings are pretty much a week old so I put them on a 18/6 light cycle where they will stay for the next month or two. I also bumped the ballast up to 75%, I'll keep it on 75% until the plants get transplanted into my 3.5 gallon hempy buckets then its 1000w all the way to the end.

OldMedUser, that's insane man, 23/KWH, that is very expensive. If mine was that high I think I'd have some serious problems continuing to grow at this place I'm at now with the bills that would be coming. I really feel for you on that one bro. So expensive!

About Remo nutes, I wonder if it's Remo's way of saying to AN? LOL Perhaps he even knew some of their formula's etc and reproduced them. Or are Remo nutes actually some kind of subsidiary of AN? I never bothered to look it up.

I think most nutrients are over rated. I have tried many different brands and usually ended up with similar results regardless of the brands claims. I just try to buy products specifically designed for cannabis and are readily available in Canada for a decent price, Remo fit all of my requirements. Also Remo's videos are entertaining if nothing else so I decided to try his products. If his products are made by someone else like AN, then his nutes are an even better deal!

The best video of Remo;s I liked back then and used to link to newbies was that one ya know when he puts together that grow room for some woman. He lines it with Black/White poly and builds whole room for her. He did that so quick. Was pretty good.

I woke up this morning at 4:30am to see if my light came on and it did, guess I have the timer figured out. lol.

The plants were a little dry so I mixed up 5ml of Remo's Velo Kelp (1-1-1) in a gallon of rain water. The water tested 15ppm without nutrients and was 119ppm after I added the Velo Kelp (my tap water is over 400ppm). I tested the nutrients on one of my seedlings as it is definitely a little early to be feeding but I want the plants to grow their root system faster and the addition of Velo Kelp should stimulate root growth. The test went well so I fed the rest of the seedlings the nutrient solution.

I also dropped the light to 26" above the plants while running at 750watts(75%) with the MH bulb.

Oh yeah, I also added a thermostat so I can control the exhaust fan better.

Well the tent has run for a few days now without any issues.

Today it got up to 26C outside and I was able to keep the tent temps at 25C but my garage is definitely getting warmer. Tomorrow I will put a vent in my garage wall to divert hot air directly outside instead of into my garage. I have to get this dialed in by the weekend as I will be camping with the family and the grow will be on cruise control for a few days.

As for the seedlings, they are about twice as wide as they are tall. Still waiting to see the true leaves but that's still a little ways away.

Day 7, Still 10/10 but there is one runt in the bunch.

I'm surprised how little stretch there is in this strain. They just keep getting wider and wider. As soon as they started leafing out they pretty much quit growing vertically.

I went to the hardware store this morning and punched out a 6" hole in my wall as high as I could put it. It looks good kinda like it was ment to be there.

Yep, vent looks normal and good man. well done.
(I have same grey thermostat control unit thing you have hanging in the room, what's proper name for them again i forgot..lol... I find it is not so acurate, like whatever temp you want you've gotta set it higher or lower depending, and switches on and off with really wide gap, not right on the money.. been lookin for better not so expensive other option for years. Still good shit though.)

Plants look happy man.

Just came to me now looking at the vent pic again. If you didn't have calking or that expanding foam stuff in there when shoving the pipe through, around that edge of white plastice outside, I would calk it, or use the expanding foam, the one that doesn't expand as much, there's 2. Just a thought.. if you didn't use something in there already.
(Even maybe loosen screws a touch when doing it, get the foam in there and squeeze screws back down fast, then wipe clean any excess, if not using calking.)

The grey box is a tempstat and it does have a huge gap. It kicks my exhaust in at 25.7C and drops the temp to 22.5C before shutting down. But it was free, it does do what I want for now until I get something better to control humidity and temps better.

It is calked and I also filled the gaps with foam. I even cleaned the chainsaw oil off the wall in the picture too! Lol.

Nice nice, proper job. Tempstat, yeah that's the name.

Day 12

Today I just got back from Canada Day camping and can't believe what I saw. I was worried all weekend that the small pots they were in wouldn't stay moist enough to keep my plants alive. I was also worried about a fan shutting down causing my babies to cook to death. But to my surprise this is what I came home to today!


Day 15 of Veg @ 18/6 & Remo Nutrients @ 330ppm.

They're looking good man! Chunky little fu__ers!
