Small ACMPR Kush Berry Grow

This morning whilst sitting on a lawn chair drinking my coffee with the girls, I was thinking shit I have a lot of tops considering that I only have 7 plants.

I decided to count the tops that I could easily see without moving the plants or digging through them to find the hidden ones and came up with 62 obviously noticeable tops.

As I have stated before my goal was 8oz from this grow and did a couple quick calculations to see how much each top would have to yield to get me to my goal of 8oz. The number I came up with was 3.61 grams per top/branch.

All that being said, I guarantee that I missed some hidden and inner branches that should produce as well, so I think this grow will be a success barring any unplanned disasters.

I realize my goals were set pretty low but this is a test run on so many levels, new equipment, new style of growing, new nutrients, new strain and of course newish grower.

I thought your goal looked easily attainable before you even flipped.
Garden is looking good gonna be smelling even better in no time
Deep down inside I want a pound but prior to flipping, I had no idea how many females I was going to end up with. If I get 2oz from each plant I will be close but these are pretty short plants so 2 oz each might be pushing it.

2oz isn't that hard per plant if they have room. How big is that tent again? 4x4?

Yep 4x4 and a little room left to grow with in that foot print. I'll probably change out the fan, that will give me quite a bit more room to space them out. I'm also thinking about tying some of the branches to the sides of the buckets to let light penetrate deeper.

So if mine stretch to 20" do you think I'll get 2.5oz/plant? I'm going to tie down some branches and move the fan to open them up and let light in everywhere. Hmmmmm I might get a pound out of this first grow. I'm feeling optimistic right now.
You want to give em space so the sides room to bud, think Christmas Tree, even with multiple tops, think Christmas Bush...lol. :weed: I got 4oz each trained in 7 gallons, 20" tall. I think, just use your head in training. Not too much or added stress may add some time to the grow or hinder yield. And yeah, raise the fan for space, point your air mainly through the space between plants and light.

Well it took me about 3 hours and about 120 feet of string but I tied down all the branches and opened up pretty much everything. I shouldn't have very much if any popcorn buds.

Flower Day 11

The girls are responding well to the bondage I did to them yesterday but I was pretty gentle tying them down. The main stalks stretched a noticeable amount in the past 24hrs and are less than 2" from my minimum desired height of 20".

I am pretty sure the plants are just starting bud formation as they are getting more white hairs everyday and the tops are looking tighter with the new foliage growth. I also noticed that my garage had a slight kushy coffee smell this morning, but when I rub the stalk my fingers have a very floral berry smell.

The only thing is I can't see this strain being done in another 6.5 weeks. The breeder says 8 weeks however I'm thinking it will take a little longer than that. But I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.....just ask my wife.

Well the girls have kicked into high gear! The growth is unreal right now. The tallest plants are now over 20 inches tall and 24 inches wide!

They are very thirsty though. My hempy buckets hold about 1.5L of water below the 1/4" hole and all of the plants are requiring at least 1L each every 24 hrs!

So far I'm 100% happy with the PeakSeedsBC KushBerry strain and the Remo Nutrients as the plants are looking amazing and don't look like they require anything I'm not already giving them. Also I haven't been using any silicates as I think they can give a harsh taste and mess up the Ph with the Ph balanced Nutrients that I'm using but honestly I don't think I need any silica on this grow. This decision will probably cost me some bud weight but I'm trying to use only the Remo line while getting the best taste possible.

Also the Fusion Bright lights and ballast are working awesome however the Fusion Hut 4x4 tent has pin holes everywhere! I'm not impressed with it at all! It will be a good Veg tent for future grows but I really don't want to flower in it again if it can be at all avoided. The only saving grace is that it is in my dark garage and I'm running the lights during the day and my night cycle is at night when the garage is dark so it shouldn't be an issue this grow. But when winter comes the wife will want to park in there again so I am going to have to build a room for future grows to prevent light contamination.
