Smallest Viable Grow?

I'm growing a bean from bagseed in a homemade "tent" - it's a cube about 1.5' on each side (actually only about 16.5"-cubed of livable space inside). She's an Alien OG, so is naturally a little stouter/bushier than other strains, which is part of why I think this will work.

The plan is to do some serious tying down. She was topped a few weeks ago and has filled in nicely, effectively doubling production on lower branches/nodes. I aim to first tie down the main stem, then the lower branches out to the perimeters of the 10" soil container. Effectively, I'm hoping to maximize width and depth in compromise for the minimal height in my tent.

Anyone with experience growing in super-small spaces? How much bud have you been able to procure from tiny grows? I'm a little anxious about flowering, as I know plant height can really take off after the flip. What are the obvious issues of growing in a space where my bulbs (6500K CFLs & 2700K LEDs) are so inevitably close to the plant? What are the solutions?

reddit has a sub devoted to "spacebuckets" and I think there is another devoted to "PC Grows", where you literally grow inside an empty desktop PC case.

Instead of CFL's consider using LED Strips.
