Purple portal and banana glue please
I'm doing the banana glue first, then once that's flowering I'll start the purple portal.

GDP #2 just finished up an 8 day dry. I dry trimmed all the buds nicely and put them on the scale, 311 grams (11+ oz). GDP #1 has another day or two on the hangers, I'm expecting her to weigh in somewhere around 150-175 grams.
The purple trainwreck is still going strong on day 65 of flower. Been flushing her with RO water and the runoff PPM is coming out around 50. I might let her go to 70 days, we'll see.

The GDP clones are a couple days into week 4 of flower. They've truly been on autopilot, not much to do other than topping off the res every few days. I still go in there and admire/stand around and stare (even if I have no work that needs to be done). Anyways, res change will happen tonight. I plan on dosing the res with the same strength of nutrients as last week. Next res change will include some PK13/14 from Canna as a PK booster. It'll only stay in the res for one res cycle through for week 5.

I have to believe that's what the cross is. The breeder is dankonomics and it's not something off his normal menu. Curious to see how they turn out when I run em'
Nice choice! Im curious to see whats up with the banana glue. There was only one tester of it so the pics/info of it that Dank provided are limited. Looks good, but I swear if I didnt know better I would guess it was a Stardawg cross just from the pics. Very dark/purple looking. I cant remember where the banana come from? I want to say it was Orgnkids cut?

Thanks bud, I'll get some photos up later this afternoon or tomorrow. You are correct about the Purple Portal being from Ocean Grown Genetics. The banana glue is from dankonomics genetics.

Man, I'm curious too which is why I decided to run it first. You piqued my interest a while back talking about it. I'm not quite sure what the exact cross is, @Dankonomics_genetics can you chime in on what the lineage is on the banana glue?

It’s the Colorado banana Kush clone only x gg4 reversed. Seems the glue carries some strange mixes, banana though also has some weirdos but the color both parents can have in them.

Alright it's Saturday so good time for an update...

4x4 Tent - the six GDP clones are rockin and rollin, explosive growth with zero deficiencies. The leaves are always perky and straight, I've never even seen them droop so I must be doing something right. The purple trainwreck got the axe last night @ exactly 70 days. She looks to have turned into a surprisingly delightful cultivar, let's see how the flavors are after the dry and cure.

3x3 Tent - All six banana glue germinated, popped through the surface, and are working on their second set of true leaves. Even the weird one that was curling into the shell found its' way to the light. They're in waxy cups getting flooded 3x per day. Res EC is right around .9 to 1.0. Eventually the waxy cups will break down which will force me to transplant, but that's about a week or two down the road.

This last round of plants easily exceed 1 gram per watt with a canopy that could have been managed a lot better. This tells me a lot the quality of light these HLG Quantum Boards are putting out. The density and hardness of all the buds (even mid level parts of colas) resemble being grown under a 1K HID, it's unreal how well these LED's grow herb!

4x4 Tent a few days ago before the purple trainwreck was chopped.

Tossed 5 Purple Portal seeds into a cup of RO water this morning. Hopefully at least 2-3 turn out as females but ratios can be a total crapshoot when popping only 5 at a time.

Hey smokebros, every thing is looking great bud! You should stop by and see my journal as well.

What lead me here was a search about Florel. I have some clone only cuts throwing nanners in week 3 1/2. I have a bottle of Florel on the way. How likely will the florel stop this issue, will it be seed free? And how exactly did you mix and apply it? At what strength and how did you apply it to your plants? Anything I should know about this? Does the buds get sprayed too? Thanks man.

So the Banana Glue is Colorado Banana Kush cut and all your other banana crosses used orgnkids banana cut? The Ultimate Banana Kush is an S1 or reverse of one of the 2 cuts?

I've been intentionally holding off on updating since it's fairly easy for a journal to get saturated with excessive pages of bantering. Shooting for quality > quantity.

The 4x4 tent is sitting right around 40-41 days of flower (I don't have my notebook in front of me to check).
The plants are rockin, super healthy growth and no signs of deficiencies. The purple pheno (5 of the 6 clones) colored up real nice over the last 10 days, pretty much sportin' 75% purple & multicolored fan leaves.
The other 'greener' pheno has been staying green but there's purple starting to come through in the buds.

One thing to note - zero nanners' this round. Keep in mind these clones were taken from plants that showed nanners. I was concerned it could be genetics but I have to assume they'd show by now if it was. I'll continue keeping my eye out.

The 3x3 tent is also rocking. The six banana glue seedlings were transplanted into #1 nursery pots. In a few weeks I'll be able to start taking clones before flowering them out. All five Purple Portal's successfully popped and they are currently pushing out their second set of true leaves.

The Purple Trainwreck looks like a real treat. She surprisingly weighed in just shy of 3 ounces... all grade A herb, no larf whatsoever. Looking back at the photos I'm happy to have pushed her 70 days because she really packed on the crystals during those last 10 days of flowering. It just boggles my mind how dense the flowers are... She was thrown in as a filler plant in a 3 gallon hempy bucket that I inconsistently watered about 1x-2x per week. I have to give HSO credit where it is due, solid genetics there.

So the GDP Journal is in the books. Overall I would consider it a successful round. It was my first time growing in coco and my first time using Canna Coco A&B.

5 oz - GDP 1
11 oz - GDP 2
3 oz - Purple Trainwreck
19 oz / 500 watts = 1.06 grams per watt.

I'll have some new content up in the coming weeks because I just got my hands on a rosin press. I paired a Dake B-10 ton table press with the 3x5 plates from Lowtemp Plates. I deliberated on just going with the Harbor Freight press to save money but decided the reliability of the Dake was worth the extra $$.

I'll be dabbling with making e-cig (pen) cartridges with the rosin as well, so stay tuned.

It's been nearly three weeks since my last update in this thread so I thought I'd drop by. I hope everyone in the community is doing well, spring air is just around the corner. It feels weird saying that in April, but we've had some unusual weather conditions in my part of the states over the last few weeks.

The bench press and plate combination I went with is serving me well. It's a great feeling being able to make your own solvent-less extracts. I've been doing up some e-cig cartridges and the results have been surprisingly good. The 4x4 tent is 57 days into flower and I began flushing a few days ago. I'm going to let them run for 9 full weeks before harvesting.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I've been shifting my content over to Instagram over the past month or two. In doing so I hardly ever login to RIU anymore ~ it used to be everyday and now it's 1-2x per week at most. I hardly ever get any notifications anyways, so I know I'm not missing out on too much. I also get to use a different username than smokebros... not that I hate my name but this was from a looong time ago, ha.

If you're on IG and want to know my handle just shoot me a PM. I like to keep a certain level of anonymity online so that's why I'm not openly posting it into this thread.

What up RIU? Just stopping by to update the thread since it's been almost a month. The GDP got chopped at 9 weeks and has been curing in the bucket. This round was head and shoulders better than the first time I grew it out. Trich's on trich's baby.

Been doing a lot of pressing lately and have become a big fan of solventless extracts. I picked up an e-nail from high five vapes and have been lovin that thing.

The garden is in low key mode right now as I'm experimenting with some strains. I had some power/timer issues a couple weeks ago and lost 5 of 6 banana glue plants. I managed to save one and she's been making a comeback. I've got one purple purple that started to show pistols and one that I haven't been able to identify yet. Also growing out a peyote cookies, blue OG, and saphire OG.

I'll be honest I let the garden slip a bit while I've been preoccupied with other tasks, but have really been spending the last week or so dialing it back in. This round of growing is just to get a bit of variety of herb to smoke on while I take the summer off.

After my sabbatical I take over the summer I plan on getting back into the swing of things this fall. Apologies for kind of falling off but like I said before I've shifted over to IG for most things cannabis related. Youtube has been on a tear lately by shutting down cannabis channels left and right. It's kind of unfortunate that they're doing this, but at least IG is there.

I was rummaging through my seed collection the other day and came across a pack of Cake Glue from Dankonomics. I totally forgot I even had this! Needless to say I pulled out a bag of rapid rooters and got started on germinating.

I should have some updates in the coming weeks.

The 4x4 will get flipped in flower towards the end of May. That should give me all of June & July to flower and the opportunity to take August, Sept, and even October off.

Back right - female purple portal.
Back middle in coco liner - Banana Glue
Middle right - Banana Glue Clone
Propagation Dome - 5 Cake Glue's in rapid rooters (haven't popped up yet)
Front right - Purple Purple - not fully sexed yet but looks to be male.
Back left in hydroton - Peyote Cookies
Middle hydroton - Blue OG
Front hydroton - Sapphire OG

I'm experimenting with using hydroton and transplanted a bit too early. The plants in hydroton are a little pissed off at me, but I have a feeling they'll rebound in the next week or so.
