Snapped baby when planting into bigger pot

Hi, hoping someone knows or can help......
Im growing my first outdoor baby and
I have been soaking the seed in a cotton ball for 2weeks and today i planted it in a large pot as it had developed 4 leaves, i snapped the stem about a centimeter from the top as i was patting the soil around it . The stem is still hanging on and i have stuck a match stick by it's side to keep it up. Has this happened to anyone and does anyone know if it will survive or should i plant a new one?

if its not torn. ie: it just bent over ... it should heal itself with it being propped up like you did. if it is torn if its just the top tiny bit cut it off and it will continue growing from whats left.
if its torn down low ir: there is no node left from base up it may well be doomed.
sounds like you just broke the top off and if what you propped up dies just remove it and let it grow

Thank you for replying... I checked it this morning and the leaves had dried up so i removed the top as you suggested. Cross fingers she grows strong and healthy :-)
