so if you've following my posts, you know i've been doing a bunch of experiments with my growing, a lot of weird growing plants, but on two of them, i've started snipping the leaves back, i read somewhere about doing this and how it contributes to a taller plant. i'll post some pictures up, anyone have any past experience with this, sorry for the run on, i'm kinda stoned. lol.

you should not snip leaves leaves equal photosynthesis which equals growth anyway you dont want height you want bushy plants snip to much and youll send your plants into shock

yeah, you are hurting your plants by snipping leaves, you only need to snip leaves when cloning in lower than needed humidity levels

only snip leaves on veggin plants when you need more light to get to specific branch, but thats later in veg, not at the beginning

howdy

erm you gots wholes in the bottoms of all the pots ...

the second from the left in the cup looks flooded

need realy good aeration so make loads of wholes in the bottom of cups be carefull

also as for snipping you seem to have gotten it mixed up by the sounds of it

dont clip the leaf ends off all it does is changes the look of the leaf unless you have some sort of sevire nute burn on the tips and it is slowly taking over but anywhoo

what will happen is once you start veging propperly and get loads of leaf it will make a kind of canopy of green ness looks good but unfortunatley it blocks the light from getting to the lower branches and to the smaller bud hidden under the leaf

so you clip the big leaves off from the stem in a way so that you can look at the plant from the top and make out the branches

but any plant the size you have there shouldent be clipped in anyway otherwize you will just stunt the growth

as all you have done is reduce the space that can absorb light

unlike bigger plants that will have leaf material lower down the plant beneath the leaf you take off

making any sence to anyone lol ?? i think i have confuzed myself

if you want to make your plant bushy look for fimming or topping they will help

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/13820-fimming-topping-101-a.htm

hope this helps

Iv never heard of this just move the light further away this will make em strech taller

tru that, stretching isn't always a bad thing, its during the beginning stages(seedlings) that you don't want stretched, i have one stretched seedling that is growing, its not doing too well, we'll see how things end up

looks good mate seems to be fine look into getting some vermiculite and or perlite mixed in with your soil though to give it optimum drainage lol

good luck on the grow mate

dont compare plants to humans.. that is just the lamest shit i've ever heard.
women pull every hair on their leg.. your growing female plants.. keep the legs shaven?
nice logic huh.. see how it fails? don't compare plants to humans.. for fuck sake people..

just be honest. it slows growth. if your budding you can prune off fan leaves here and there. it's ok.
it will slow growth in veg stage by pruning it. (topping) etc.

But its all for final product here anyway right? I mean most of the people here aren't willing to give up quality for time, why should they give up quantity. By trimming your new growth every two weeks or so your going to end up with ten times more bud then if you don't. Is it worth not waiting the extra month that you lose to pruning/topping etc?

you're saying that if you trim your new growth all throughout veg, you will get 10 times the growth in bloom than trimmimg/topping/fimminf 3 weeks before bloom???:?:
