So does legal marijuana in Colorado mean DOMESTIC SEEDS?

Can I just drive up to Durango or somewhere and buy seeds over the counter, and not have to do the scary and sketchy ordering overseas thing? If not, why not?

If the "recreational" laws follow the model of the mmj laws then you will be able to buy seeds over the counter. I don't see any reason why that would not be the case. We won't know for sure until the laws are written though.

that's what i was thinking as well.. if you have a card now i'm pretty sure you can buy beans, why not without one now?

would living out of state and buying them be akin to say fireworks being legal in a bordering state, but not in my own, so people go across the border to get hooked up for the fourth? if you know what i mean.

my guess, is that when (if) they get A64 actually implemented, they will make the shops ask for CO State ID in order to buy. the shops are used to the RedCard model and enforcement has shown they are 99%+ compliant (I've never heard of a shop failing an audit like that myself, but I certainly haven't seen it all. so giving 1%), compared to liquor stores that fail at 25%+ when audited (they send an underage in to see if they can buy). but who's to say your in-state buddy can't?

there are already a few great breeders here that sell within the state. and once things REALLY start rolling (on a more national scale), a LOT more will come out of the woodwork, and that's where some real hidden gems will come out.

the caveat here .... and this is a BIG one folks, remember these words in a few years ....... along with A64 comes the legalization of industrial hemp. while this is a tremendous thing for our farmers and getting hemp back into mainstream production where it should have always been, it is also a lethal blow to the cannabis drug side. Just imagine, 1000's upon 1000's of acres of hemp ..... you starting to see ..... they don't care about males .... they want em for seed production ..... how far does pollen travel? I can tell you - pollen movement is difficult to measure, as pollen size and shape play a large role, but to give an idea, research of various species shows .25-20 miles for most, and corn having a 100mile recorded maximum.

now, imagine a world where EVERY garden must be intake filtered to the max .... no more outdoor, unless you are just making hash. how about the seeds? we all know how many noobs and tards out there won't give a f*** about planting/trading/selling/gifting seeds with f***ed up genetics. some of those will further make it into the drug cultivars and dilute/screw up the gene pool further.

start holding some of your golden beans, and collect landrace and stabilized strains over the next few years. once hemp goes national, those beans will be gold and needed.

Not trying to get rich off em, I just want all around me who wish to grow have quality cheep/free seeds.

That is the question. From what we have been told. Nothing, not even seeds, can be "SOLD" until the retail model is approved. 2014. But if you do have your RED-Card it 's all good.
