put my nice little plants outside for some natural light for a few hours, I go out later to bring them back in and they were literally covered with tiny little cream colored bugs. Kinda freaked me out cause I didn't have a sprayer yet for the neem oil I bought. So I did a dumb thing and wiped the leaves down with a natural repellant for humans, I thought its safe for my skin, right? It will be alright for my plants. I wiped the edges of the plastic planters as a barrier as well. That's when I noticed the plastic got tacky to the touch. So I freaked out again, took my babies to the sink and ran water over the leaves to rinse them off. Did the best I could. Put them back in the tent and went to work (3rd shift) and hoped for the best.
Well each plant had some burnt to a crisp fan leaves, at least 4 fans per plant had to be trimmed off. They are recovering nicely, but an important lesson learned. Insect repellant for humans burns up plant material and I think it's safe for me?
