The highest Age of Consent in the world is 21 in Bahrain. The second-highest age of consent is 20 in South Korea, while the majority of other countries have an Age of Consent between 16 and 18.

The lowest Age of Consent in the world is 11, in Nigeria. The age of consent is 12 in the Philippines and Angola, and 13 in Burkina Faso, Comoros, Niger, and Japan. Japan often stands out as the only developed country on the list of lowest ages of consent, but local prefecture statutes in most areas of the country raise the effective age to 16-18.

Your reasoning fails to include that those concerns you have could better be handled by private persons acting in a voluntary and charitable way.

I'm not sure there would be more rage induced murders. I think there would be less property crime and less murder. Especially if you consider that war is simply legalized murder and doesn't just sponataneously happen, it usually involves government(s) Less property crime almost always occurs in a well armed and civil area.

Damn! 13 in Japan I always knew they were bad but damn. I thought it was bad enough a 50 year old can legally fuck a 16 year old. Lol

But it's kind of fucked up if you are 16 you can't fuck a 15 year old without being a sex offender.

If you make arguments that hold two positions at once, which one should I consider?

On one hand based on some of your posts, you seem to want to be known as a person who supports peace, then on the other hand you embrace systemic coercion based compulsory things via government. The two concepts are opposing.

When you hold two opposing points of view, your argument is within yourself.
