SOG or SCROG setup help

Hello Gentleman and Ladies,

First off, I just want to thank you for the help. Here is the setup I currently have.

1. Hydro Crunch 600 watt airflow hps Light
2. Strong VivoSun inline fan with carbon filter
3. 2 other regular fans
4. Vivsun 3x3x6 Grow Tent

Anyway, I have 1 meter of room to work with Gentleman and Ladies and a height of 6 feet. What is the best technique to use for this type of space? Also, how many plants should i put inside the tent? I currently have 6 plants in my tent growing wild. I let the clones veg for a month and then put them in flower mode and they overgrew and exploded the area quickly, so this makes me think I need to do a sog or a scrog instead of just letting the plants go wild. Here is a pic of my setup. Please let me know what you think in regards of technique and how many plants I should place in the tent. thank you

how much time do you have? If you can veg a little longer I would suggest supercropping. This is high stress training but you can get great yields. You basically would be laying your main tops over sideways. This would require a little longer veg time by a week or two to let them recover before starting flower. You can use a trellis for this or you can stake and tie.

If you are in a rush just use LST and try not to break any branches as you bend everything over. Trellis or stake and tie for this as well. Difference between the two is.. with the supercrop you can bend at a 45 degree angle and get good use of space but with LST you are not so much creating a breaking point as you are just spreading things out.

If you are referring to your current grow you could probably throw a net over it and try to even out your canopy while tucking and bending (super cropping) to allow equal light to all bud sites. For future grow you could do 1 plant with a 4 or 5 week veg or 4 plants with a two week veg. Its all about creating an even canopy. Veg times are based on type of medium used...I do hydro so a 1 plant from clone would easily fill your space in 4 or 5 weeks. If you have the time check out this thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/enter-the-scrog-scroggers-united-post-page.515987/

I have all the time in the world and I am building a veg room as we speak so that every 60 days I have a harvest. This is my first batch and I am new. I have been reading and trying my best. So, you recommend supercropping? What if I would like to grow a few different strains? Would you recommend scrog then or still just recommend having 4 girls supercropped?

Makes sense. I have six in there right now, two too many. This was my first attempt at growing so I read a lot of things online and went with six lol

Don't be afraid to thin things out if you must. For example if you have 6 plants with 10 tops you can just thin out each plant and have 4 tops each for a total of 24 tops. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do when using a confined space..

That is an old photo. I am just finished week 3 of flower. I trimmed a shitload of what I believed would be popcorn buds. I was hoping to focus more energy on those top buds. Hang on two mins, I will post a new pic of the girls after putting them on Jenny Craig with the scissors.

You need to figure out for yourself whats important to you. Aside from whichever appeals to you, commercial growers typically SOG with mother plants since they have an area a for veg and and area for flowering.

Do SOG if you, either want to be buying/using a lot of seeds, or if you can maintain a separate veg area with mother plants/clones.

Do SCROG if you cant or dont really want a constant variety.

You can really do either if one catches your fancy more; SCROG is maybe more labor intensive, but the flip side of that is you have less plants to deal with.
