Sounds like you got a mineral based pack of soil amendments. Add it to recycled soil along with some guano and worm castings. I would go with maybe a cup or 2 of amendment and about 1/4 cup of guano to let's say 2 cu ft of soil. You can add up to 50% ewc to that if you want to but it might tend to be a bit heavy. Add perlite and/or coco coir to lighten it up if needed. Then let it set for 30 days cook time to normalize ph.

So hearing this tells me you can use so many things as amendments. But how do you know when you have the right amounts in soil. Can you just amend your soil and only use water

Yes the more diverse your choices of inputs the better. You know you have enough of everything when the plants appear happy and green. A good rule of thumb is to add lots of things in small amounts. It's probably a good idea to add things in a standard unit of measurement. Something like 1 cup at a time for a let's say a tote bin full of soil; I use handfuls...That is as much as I can grab with one hand all at once without it spilling off. Maybe just over a cup or so. Doesn't have to be deadly accurate because soil amendments are slow release. They need time to break down and become available unlike soluble nutrients that are absorbed directly.
Yes you can amend and then only add water. My grow is mostly just water only and has been for years. I just add the occasional aact and sometimes liquid fish if needed. This is not possible unless you also have a form of compost to drive the whole thing; compost is the key to it all.
