Space Dawg Phenos?

I got two phenos of space dawg going that are very different... either very squat christmas tree indicas that didn't stretch much and super stretchy sativas that look like they will be lower yielders... anyone know which is the keeper of these two? please tell me the low yielding sativa is worth it :)

The TGA just has the same strain description as on the site I got'em from... which doesn't even mention a tall sativa pheno and concentrates primarily on the indica side. Looking at the genetics the sativa pheno is probably coming from the cindy/romulan side.

Honestly reef I had two very different phenos also. The one tht I couldn't clone: was more indica super, covered in resin, lemonhead candy taste, and prolly would've yielded more than the sativa Dom pheno I ended up keeping which was more chem flavored and still great smoke. I wish I still had tht indie spacedawg cut.

To be honest I never really found a Space dawg I liked enough to keep around. the final product was great but on the low side for yield and slow growth in veg and both pheno's I had showed signs of intersex late in flower.

I had 2 phenos as well, the tall lanky one really doesn't yield to well, it can yield decent but the level of side branching makes all the buds small.. It hasn't really cloned well but most times I take cuts I'm taking it from something that's in SS so they take a long time to root if they ever do... The 2 I had were very similar, one smelled like juicy fruit gum (I think this was the better pheno of the 2) but that one Hermed on me... I've only recently grew it again but it was just a place filler and last second decision cuz it was big enough but it wasn't grown in my normal pots and it shows with the low yield... I have only grown it twice, so I have by no means come close to getting it right but I think once more and if it fails to impress its gone..

I had one pheno with amazing flavor and frosting but as ResinX mentioned the yield wasnt comparing to some of my other keepers. Great smoke but some phenos were too hermie to keep. I ended up with no keepers from 4 females but I would try again sometime.

Did you get some nanners or full hermie? Haven't seen any on mine yet mid way through flower. The tall sativa phenos are very resiny... i did some trimming last night of some lower/sucker branches including my tallest space dawg.. or maybe that was the mickey kush... hmm... either way dried the buds in a dark area of my veg room (warm) for the better part of today then only had to toast'em a bit to get'em dry... really enjoying my samples, though they kind of all got mixed up so i'm not sure if this sample is mickey kush, space dawg, ace of spades, void or qush. got a cherry kush pheno and two that are lightly orange citrusy...

The one with great flavor had a few naners show up around 3 weeks which I would pluck off. There were a few around 7-8 weeks no biggy but slightly annoying. Another female had severe hermie. I did pluck them all and let her finish because I am a stubborn SOB but I sure didn't keep that clone.

I popped a 5 pack and found 2 females one threw pollen sacks on the lower branches and the other was fine. I ran that one a second time from clone. I had 2 clones of exact same cut one Hermie and the other didn't both where in the same room, SS, and everything. I flowered the one that didn't Hermie the full term just fine then got rid of her.

Mine are almost to week 5 definitely haven't seen any nanners -- haven't seen any pollen sacs but I haven't been inspecting super close... will just have to hope for the best.

I popped a 5 pack this past spring and i was 5/5 female. had 3 distinct phenos. all were pretty resinous, but had 1 standout keeper. two were more sativa, grew taller and a bit lankier, but still had good node spacing. smelled fruity with a nice lemony zest. one of the plants smelled a bit more lemony then the other skunkier/musky one. thier yields were kinda low due to the airy buds. One of the most distinct phenos was obvious from the start. a shorter, squat plant that was obviously more indica. tighter structure all around, definitely more leaf and big fans. definitely more chemmy and musky than any of the others. a nice fuely, musky smell. i harvested her a bit early due to personal issues, but i didn't notice until i started trimming that all the buds, looking from under, were all a bright magenta / pink color. some of the most beautiful buds i've grown out. reminded me of the pink pheno of plushberry. I wish i could've let her go longer and really fade out nice. The early harvest really killed me although i believe they were still @ like 55 days +.(i'll have to check my records to be sure though). This was actually probably a keeper as well now that i think about it. Then there was the juicy fruit/ cherry/ candy pheno. most resinous hands down, the buds and sugar leaves were just white. beautiful tight node spacing, responded really well to topping, each branch looking identical to the others growing perfectly vertical, parallel to the others. Tighter buds with less leaf, a pleasure to trim(besides having to clean my fiskars every branch cause they were so covered in resin). I'd get the biggest shit eating grin just upon closing my eyes and taking a big whiff of her. WOW. The smell is so distinct in my mind compared to the others. The yield was still a little on the low side but i think that was honestly my fault. A very powerful but functional high.(as long as you don't need to communicate that much) hahaha. I'll get some pics off my other computer and post them when i can. I'll definitely be growing out another pack of space dawg in the future. Thanks Sub and the TGA crew! Also, i am very thorough and tight trimmer. I inspect every branch closely and i didn't find one banana on any of the plants.

Nice... I definitely have that squat indica chemy pheno... super tight internodes. How's the smoke on that?

All of them look like the bomb but none of them look like they're going to yield for shit... they don't look any more bomb than the other tga stuff I got going, so I guess we'll see... i have been smoking some fresh dried (not even a week) buds from a lower branch from a few days back and i'm pretty happy with it already especially considering it was only around 42 days or so when that branch came off.. I'm just hoping they end up denser and heavier than they seem and really puff up at the end. I got some good yielders on my other tga stuff but not great results on the space dawg.

For those who tried it how strong was your favourite indica pheno (or any other), was it as potent as described in the website? Was it really face numbing?
Ive always been very interested in this strain and was considering getting a couple of packs to make a wee pheno hunt. Not worth the time?

Mine aren't finished but my early samples have been very good... not face numbing but definitely the lost/confused part :) hoping the finals are great doesn't seem like anyone in this thread has had any that were as phenomenal sounding as the strain description.

Happy to say unlike someone else reported, I have not found any nanners/herms. I'll keep watching though in case they're late flower show-ers.

After reading all these reviews I'm starting to second guess running these outdoors. How big where your final product? I definitely have 2 phenos and plan to veg for a long period of time to hopefully increase yield. But if the end result isn't worth it, I may be better off selecting another strain to fill in the best spots in the garden.

I've grown 2 Spacedawgs outdoor, last summer. Both were very good, no complaints. One was exceptionally potent, the other was good, but not amazing. They were in 15 gallon pots and each yielded over a pound. No nanners either. Hope this helps.

Did you leave yours untopped or do a little pruning?

Yeah I topped them several times, they ended with about a dozen colas. So they finished around 6' tall and 5' wide.
