So i need to find a good supplier of 730 or my other option is to go with a 8xx spectrum which should prevent any 660 contamination. The 8xx should also, depending on variables, dip towards 730 so in theory it should cover my bases.
Hey karr was wondering if you ever read "Don's LED FAQ", cause there's a section on companies that make "oddball" IR wavelength's. You can find it here:

Anyway love your posts, I think your quite the artist actually, and I hope this helps.

Wow that site is awesome, I need to digest it a bit, but it really takes a load of since the Turkish company I was trying to use won't respond to emall.

Such a great find, thanks a lot. Depending on order difficulty i should have the lights and array built in time and on schedule to start my experiment. I will take clones tomorrow if i can and get em vegging asap, so it won't be a perfect turn around, but not bad.

I went with the first company on that list.

I was happy to see they actually had 740 which is the wavelength i really wanted, all i could ever find was 730, so very cool indeed.

It didn't have prices or anything, vut i put in an order for 12 units. My plan is to but em in about 2 banks of 6, if i need to take up more than 2v i will probably throw in a 850 or so. 12w or so total, the way ir penetrates should make that enough.

I need to do some math to find out just how much or how fast pr can be converted with these 740s, which means i have to learn to do some math hahah. Wish me luck

Looking good dawg. I'm a little worried about my aero system since the roots are so massive and the thing is still in veg haha.

I've stopped using floaraliscious plus because it dyes my roots brown and makes it hard to tell if I have rot or not. So until I get better with hydro, I will hold the fp.

Hey man, I love this grow! I'm curious about the plants life in veg. Do you have any pictures of it while you were training it? What did it look like before you put the screen on, or the day after you put the screen on? I'm sure there will be a lot of people wanting to make a grow just like this, so the more pics the better. Super excited for you man, waiting to hear that dry weight.

edit: Did you top or FIM at all?

Then You Fine.If Your Runt Doesnt Grow Balls Then Grow Her Out She Just Might Supprise You.:bigjoint:
Yeah she might be a zip or so, but ill be surprised really.

As for veg pics, i don't have any before i put the screen on but it basically bent over gently and crossed about half the screen. I topped before this and waited for the new growth to start on the new tops before the screen went up. After that i started weaving as they grew, and trimmed all lower stuff that i didn't think would make it to the screen.

If you click the link in my sig, it links to a different thread of the same grow. In it are a few more pics of the veg stage. The very first pic of the veg stage is about a week after i put the screen down, as you will see it was a little stressed.

It's looking closer and closer to being finished. Gotta give her some time, but it's getting really close. I could chop now and not sacrifice much I'd say. But i intend on going a little riper to give me a little contrast to what else i already have.

i don't see the point of running co2 at night, can you explain this m8
do you mean run co2 at night and run the lights during the night hours too ?

running co2 when the lights are on aids photosynthesis , running co2 when there is no light is as useful as pissing in the wind

peace :)
its not pissing in the wind dude. basically the idea is at night you dont run your vents and during the day you to. so as the day goes on you the c02 levels in your average closet grow room are depleted. running co2 at night with the vents off builds up the co2 in the room without blowing it all out your vents. plus+ co2 is heavier than air so if your like me and have your exhaust at the top of your box it doesnt get just all sucked out. look up dry ice too a lot of people do that. none of tehm do it while the lights are on.

Personally my ventilation is such that only the top area where the lights are get vented. So co2 with the lights and vent on is decent since, like you say, co2 sinks.

But in anywhere with normal bottom intake top exhaust ventilation there really is no use in stocking up co2 at night because proper venting will clear it out in a minute or so. Also night temps drop usually 10+ degrees, in which case they generally drop out of the mid 80s which are needed for the benefit of co2 since the high temps help to open to stomata to let in the additional co2, so when the lights kick on the area won't heat up fast enough for the plant to really use the built up before it's lost, unless you use a thermostat controlled fan. As well the plant really has no way to use the extra co2 at night.

That said if you can affordably add any co2 to your setup, i really don't see a downside.

Getting real close to cutting. Pretty sure she's ready. I haven't decided if I'm going to full or partial harvest. I generally don't have luck with partial harvests, they always seem to disappoint.
