Getting real close to cutting. Pretty sure she's ready. I haven't decided if I'm going to full or partial harvest. I generally don't have luck with partial harvests, they always seem to disappoint.

Not at all, those are calyxs and they start to swell as the buds reach maturity
So am I getting paranoid here? :D
It's just that they look a bit male shape... the others seem less long and fatter flowers..
Mind I had hermies a couple of grows ago.. and I am def paranoid!
:!:

Yeah a calyx can swell up so much that it will look like there's a seed in it even if there isn't. Male nuts are usually more near the leaf stems underneath. Let me find where I can show you an example...

Click the first link in my sig. Go to page 7 and scroll halfway down to the pics. That's my hermie!

Wow. It has been entirely too long since the last update. So here we are. The plant is dead.... In a good way of coarse. The thing took a few hours to trim, id say about 4. It was a tedius trim considering the amount of leafy, just okay bud, i ignored a lot of small not even popcorn bud. In the end the large colas were large, and thats the idea of a scrog. I could have used a bit more room above the canopy to capitalize on all the sites i had. I could have also used less canopy like some had suggested. But like i said, i feel its important to do things one way consistently, then apply the gained knowledge after.

Things i learned:

A better understanding of when to flower a scrog
a better understanding of what to trim
a good idea of what a small led can do
etc

ok now the final parts you all are waiting for... YIELD!

Well i just dont have it yet. The plants are cut and drying, so it will be about 4-5 days before i can even get a rough estimate. If i had to guess, i would say 3z, possibly less, possibly more. I definitely have about a zip in good shake, and another in cottonball buds that i just tore off and jarred for cooking/other. Of actual desirable bud. Im guessing 3 even, some of you had the same guesses.

Here is another long overdue update.... PICS.

These are the final pics just hours before harvest after about 3 days in the dark. the final pics are of the harvested plant, but its hard to see the size and extent of all the bud. There really was more than i was thinking towards the end.

Thanks! im hoping it all adds up to more than 3z, i would like to get a good g/w ratio going, as well a good g/m^2.

I also plan to do a mini review on this light. Keep in mind this light is no longer made, as well my experiences were by no means the optimal situation. Mistakes were made, as they will be, but thats one way to learn. I eagerly await dry buds for a nice conclusion to this story.

Keep in mind that round two of this box and light is comming!

Good job bro.......looking forward to the next round..
As am i. Im still waiting on my 740nm leds to show up, but they shouldnt be too much longer. I need to make sure the plant is nice and rooted first anyway, so no real rush. I would like to fast-track this thing though.

Hey Karr,
I love the thread. Right now I'm creating a SCROG plant without the screen (caramel ice Positronic Seeds) I actually usually do SOG so it's been weird to say the least. This thread was very inspirational and I never did much research on infared until your thread came along. I have the new V3 lights. They seem to work great in Veg but as soon as I try to flower all hell breaks loose. It's about 2 weeks of amazing growth followed by the orange plague of burning death. Although I have been pushing the nutes (premixed into soil), I really don't think I'm over doing it but whatever, my caramel ice isn't pissed yet so...I'm not going to jack your thread. I hope you have great success with the final weigh in and I look forward to your final weight! I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised, because those things looked beautiful!
Sincerely,
ILove

I would try raising your lights a lot. I hear some bad thing about the red intensity of the v3s. Sounds like what your experiencing.
