Spraying roots with a peroxide mix

So I've been having trouble keeping res temps down do to location of the set-up.I just put a A/C I had in the garage in to help lower temp of the room.
Temp was staying around 80-84,I now have the A/C going full blast to cool room and will set it to 72 or so once room is cool.

Problem is I started getting root rot I believe.Brown, slightly slimy roots.Been adding peroxide little by little to try and stop any algae and stuff but it wasn't working so hot.Decided to try adding a little 3% HP and a little water in a spray bottle.I lifted the roots out the water to where the brown color stopped sprayed waited about 10 secs and put them back in the water.I then took the feeder lines out the basket and washed the roots off.

They look great now but was wondering if doing that was safe.I figured if I washed it off fairly quickly it would be ok.

I've never tried that, so I don't know what to tell you. I guess you'll find out, and can tell us.

It sounds like it will be OK, I think you need a lot of the 3% to do any damage, but it may have some additives in it, that's why you should use an agricultural H2O2.

HTH

Just checked on them and the roots are still looking pretty good. The water cleared up a little bit and they look like they are getting nutrients better now. Some of the bigger fan leaves were drooping but now they are perking up.

I'll update this if anything happens.

And the only reason I used the 3% was cause it was here lol.No fun not having a car without a valid inspection sticker.

10-14 days.I got the room a lot cooler thanks to a extra A/C I remembered in the garage and so far all is good again.Old house so all the heat goes straight upstairs.

The plants are doing fine so I guess it's a safe way to treat them.

100% sure this is safe as a quick treatment.
I've done it a few more times to make s sure I got it all and they are looking great and still thriving.
I sprayed all the roots yesterday as I was cleaning the res it took the whole top off the tub cleaned it out real good ,covered the roots in peroxide/water mix, gave them a good rinse and put everything back in.
