Springtails?

So. I got Springtails knocking about over my plants. Not loads just a few here and there.

I thought they stayed to the soil and were relatively harmless.

But are these going to be a problem being on the plants themselves?

I was just concerned seeing them on the actual plants themselves.

Yes I've just transplanted into 5gal pots. Been wet here too so RH 65-70. Soil took about 10 days to dry for its first watering which was done today.

Don't like killing things so I'll leave them if they're no harm. Eating my tasty plants :)

You sure its springtails? They move/snap/jump quickly and will hit the top of the pot upon waterings.

Ive had them before by bringing outdoor pots inside, they never cruised on the plants and didn't really damage anything but it was a sore sight to watch imo lol

I hope they are. If you touch them they jump up. They are long and slender and about a mm long.

I had them with my last grow my they remained in the soil as far as I'm aware..

Spring tails, we call em snow fleas cause in the winter time you find them around the bases of pine trees in groups numbering in the millions . It's always amazed me to hop of a snowmobile in -10 weather and see a cold blooded invertebrate bouncing around . Never seen em in a grow room but if you use local soil I suppose you could have them , They dont cause any harm to the plants as they dont eat living plant material ....

Springtails don't go on the plants they eat decaying matter roots fallen leafs and they live in the medium and come to the surface when you water they are harmless, even beneficial IMO

If their on the leafs odds are they are not springtails
