I'm sorry I'm not understanding what u mean.
1 6 inch fan dont have that 6" intake hole in the cab just attach it to the carbon filter inside the cab. The location of the fan would be sitting on the exhaust port of the cab blowing up so you will be pulling your air though the carbon filter then the cool tube and out the cab.
Don't need the 4"

Ya I'm pretty redneck lol. This grow room is inside a steel building so it's best I can do for ac.
But why is this setup better then what I had planned out I already have a 4" carbon filter and 4" fan I just thought this way the lights would stay cooler by not having the restriction of the filter and having its own vortex s fan.

New grower here myself with a similar set up. Mine is just a tent not a room. The only difference between your 1st and 2nd drawings are....you will only need one fan for the 2nd...hence you will use less electricity...ect ect....thats all. functionally they are the same....thats what I got from all the research I did for my set-up

Also....I thought the same as you about the filter taking some of the air flow away... So, I set up both and during testing of my rooms temps... The filter/fan/light combo was only 1 degree warmer. So, I went that route.

Yes you can loose up to 20% of airflow through a carbon filter the room you built requires 250 cfm of airflow a 4" fan only puts out 150 cfm minus the 20% for the filter the 6' fan puts out 400 cfm minus the 20% gets you closer to where you need to be for the ventilation Also less equipment to buy.

Still not decided on how I'm going to layout my plants for scrog. I'm going to need some sort of walk in work space to maintain and water plantsIMG_3884.JPG
