Steady's 220wat LED Grow (first grow)

What's going on Roll it up I'm about to start my first grow so I decided to start my journal now so I could just allocate all my questions and pictures onto one thread, anyway here are my specs!
2x2x4 quictent grow tent
California light works 220watt full spectrum LED
Ventech 4inch fan and 4incarbon filter
1 desk fan
2 3in passive intakes

Feminized BlackJack seeds from nirvana
Two plants at a time using LST and some topping
3 gallon Coco coir mix with perlite (75% coco 25% perlite) coco coir will be PH'd to 5.9-6.0 with 1 teaspoon of Calimagic per gallon of RO water prior to use

Nutes : I will only try and use Maxibloom and Calimagic through the whole grow. KISS method will be used heavily throughout my grow KEEP IT SIMPLE STONER

Right now the everything is set up just waiting on the seeds. I've been monitoring my temperatures in the grow tent as if I had my seeds and started them

I have a High of 81* F and RH of 55% lights ON
And a Low of 66*F and RH of 36% lights OFF

I will be getting a humidifier soon, but I think my temps are right where they need to be if I'm not mistaken.

Once I get my seeds plan is to germ them using the shot glass method and then putting the seedling directly into the final 3 gallon pot and straight under the LED she goes.

Looks great man that qui tent looks like it's exactly what I'm looking for for my veg/male setup but I grow some lanky sativa strains. for a cross or indica it's perfect. I'd like to follow your thread just to see how that led performs. I'm told you don't get the quantity but you definitely get better quality.
I'm running in super soil with two Apollo 400 series LEDs on nyc turbo diesel and those LEDs keep it super bushy. Good luck man and happy harvesting.

Awesome man I was also looking into those Apollos, I went with California lightworks cause I got a sweet deal when I called them.
The tent is solid, they didn't use any plastic and so far no light leaks

It's been 10 days since I got a confirmation notice from Nirvana so my seeds should be here any minute

It's been 14 days since shipped date(2/16/16) and I still haven't received my beans. Niravana replied to my emails saying the want me to wait till 3/16/16 before they will take action. I live in SoCal and ship dates usually are around 8-10 days from the NL. Should I just buy new seeds?

Any super fast banks that sell seeds in the USA? I'm literally all ready to grow

Just as I got impatient

my seeds finally arrived today!! 14 days total. Arrived in a regular envelope. Seeds were packed inside a thick postcard. Pretty discreet and secure. Thumps up for Nirvana for thier shipping and customer service. Now to test the product. Nirvana threw in 10 random seeds too. Idk what I'm going to do with those.

Next step is to PH and nute all my coco coir and prepare my smart pots and solo cups. Will be doing that tonight, hopefully I will be able to take some pictures.

I'm going to go ahead and germinate 3 of the black jack seeds and keep the best looking one out of the 3.

So here we go folks. I have 5 seeds I'm trying to germinate.

-I have two in a paper towel method going on about 16 hours right now. (freebies from Nirvana)

- I put 3 seeds in 16oz solo cups with coco coir perlite mix underneath my LED in my tent. ( 2 freebies 1 blackjack from Nirvana)

I'm just trying to see what works best. I have 4 black jack remaining so once I have a good method I feel comfortable with I'm going to sprout again. This is a dry run so to speak.

My only issue so far is that I bought a humidifier but it only raised my RH by like 4% I'm barely hitting 50 RH
is there an actually humidifier that raises the RH by 10-15%?

Put some plastic wrap over top of the cups with a few air holes and secure it with a rubber band. This will create added humidity in the cup. Assuming you pre soaked the medium in the cup.

Awesome so I did a few pratice germs and here are the results I got!

I rinsed the coco with RO water PH'ed (6.0) with Calmigc (1ml per gallon) I only did like 15% run off. I made enough for 6 solo cups and 1 5 gallon smart pot. Here are the Germing methods I tired:

Shot glass method with 2 Nirvana freebies for 24 hours soaked. Only 1 split open and the other one stayed hard. Ended up tossing these

Paper towel method with two nirvana freebies. One split and the other one actually had the root sticking out! Success. I tossed these

So all those were mostly just to try stuff out since I've never done any of that before.

CURRENTLY:

Seed straight into coco method. Currently I have 2 freebies and 1 nirvana blackjack in the tent under the LED. I planted them straight into coco to germinate since yesterday.

Also I just put 2 blackjack seeds doing the paper towel method right now.

Plan as of now: so I have 3 blackjack seeds that hopefully will germinate. Since these are feminized I'm going to veg the best one and rock one lady in a 5 gallon smart pot SCROG in my 2x2 tent!

I did the same thing you did a couple months back, practicing with cheaper seeds. I went with nirvana and crop king seeds first. Worked out my method and environment. I went with 15ml/gal rhizotonic, cracked them in it. After 24 hours put them right in rapid rooters socked in the same nute, under T5 in humidity dome with heat mat (80deg 75hum). 3 days they were up and out. Transplanted in coco 4ich cups added cannastart to regimen for the next 4 days. I use my tap water and ph after nutes to 6.2. After transplanting I put them in my dr60 (not a good tent) with hydrogrow 126x After the 4 days I put them on 7.2a 7.2b canna coco, 15ml Rhizotonic, 1ml cal-mg/gal. I have 2 more days of that then I'm bumping it up. I didn't end up flowering out nirvana or crop king, so whats growing now is Kosher kush, Tangie Bubba's Gift, Lemon Cake, Kosher Tangie, and skywalker kush. The attitude had a promo on DNA, Then I got a clone of pennywise and white Russian going, they both tested really high for CBD at the despensary. I'm a newbie this is only my 4th grow so I'm there with you. Hope this helps. I learned everything from these forums wish I had time to do a journal. I'll be following along for sure.

Update :

So the 3 seeds I planted straight into the coco and put under the LED already germinated and are barely scratching the surface! So I took the 2 freebies out and left the solo Blackjack in for now. I have two more blackjack Germing in the paper towel method. Once they split open I'm putting in.

So Germing seeds straight in coco worked 100% for me

Things are getting Juicy
