OK ive finally made up my mind on what im going to do. I plan to grow in a stealth box that i made. The box is 3 feet tall by 20 inches wide by 20 inches long. My plan is to grow 4 lowryder strain plants in this box using a 400 W hps light. with reflector of course. I plan to cut two 6 inch circles on both sides of the box wiht a intake and outake fan in them. I also plan to run a 6 in. duct out of the side of the reflector with another intake or outake fan? which would be better for that intake or outake? my only concern is, is that light gonna be to hot for this box? . any help would be appreciated. thank you

HPS and all H.I.d lamps throw of an extreme amount of heat i had a similar size grow spot in a closet with a 150 watt hps and the heat was still an issue. if you factor in to how tall your pots are and the height of the reflector it doesnt leave a lot of room to grow. your lowryders may do fine but make sure you start them on some fluros or cfls for a good while before your put them under that 400watt unless you like to burn your plants. or the more ideal option would be trying to add at least another 12'' to the height of your box

He's right. Plus, you could get away with a 250w in that space with about 50w of supplemental CFL lighting. A 400 would be waaaay overkill for light and the heat would be impossible
