Stealth Hydro Bubbleponics Question...please help!

whats up everybody. I was wondering what the ideal humidity/temp in the room is supposed to be like, it seems like im seeing ppl not really worry about that in their grow journals or am I not looking close enough? it seems like they grow in closets without humidifiers no prob?

Also I am getting the SH bubbleponics system. If any of you guys have grown with this then you can def help me. It comes with the GROW, BLOOM, and MICRO nutes, but should I also get the liquid karma catalyst? and the cal-mag?. I read on here that there recommended because of iron deficiency (cal-mag) and as a catalyst (liguid karma). That true??

What about Technaflora Liquid Nutrient Kit and the Organic Hydro Nutrient Kit? from Stealth Hydroponics. They seem like there same exact thing as the GROW, BLOOM,and MICRO kit but just in liquid form and with more nutes I guess? Anybody know anything about this?

alrite homies, if ya'll can help me out thatd be great. :bigjoint:

Room temp should be away wheres from 74 to 80(85 max) during the day and mid to upper 60's @ night. Humidity around 40% to 60%, 50% being best.

It's important when using SH nutes to dissolve them when before mixing them in the tub. Because Liquid Karma clogs the feeding tubes, I'd wait until you stop using the feeding tubes(once the roots have established themselves)

Cal-mag+ can be used at the same time you introduce you SH nutes, which will be after the seedlings has 4 true leaves. And start your seedlings on 1/4 strenght, then slowly build up over time.

Note: for most 1st time growers(myself included) it's having patience with your seedlings that pays off. You don't want to over-feed them or love them to death. Just let them do they're thing.

Good luck!!

Thanks Blueybong! I was wondering if the Karma Catalyst and Cal-mag are a must have?
Another thing is Would I have to get a humidifier for the grow area? Does everybody worry about humid/temp? I only ask cus I see grow journals where thats not mentioned at all so I was kinda freakin out haha. I was thinking of growing in my garage but I live in Los Angeles so theres not to much humidity or difference in temp here ya know? Would you suggest me getting a goodsize growbox/tent?

thanks again blueybong. :bigjoint:

No, LK or CM are not a must. If you garage humidity stays between 40 to 60%, you're probably good.
As if as grow tents, how many plants to you plan of growing? 2, 4, 6, 10, 12???

I am going to grow 3-4 plants most likely. You think theres enough room for 4 large bushy plants to grow on the bubbleponics kit?
Ive been looking at different tents/boxes. If you dont mind me asking bro, what kinda box is that, cost alot? your setup looks badass and very discreet, thats what I need man haha.
As for the garage, I doubt its gonna have a good amount of humidity and the temp is maybe 50-60 degrees at night and only like 60-70 maybe during the day. To be honest I really dont know Im ballparking it. I can tell you when I get the thermom/hygrometer soon.
Another thing man. I have the same lights you do w/ the Multispectrum Configuration for my kit but I also wanna add side lights. I just want a couple, what would you suggest? I was thinking of getting 65w, 85w or 105w with the 4100 Kelvin Multispectrum, thats the one thats allaround good for both veg and flower correct?? I was thinking of keeping it simple 2 bulbs, 1 on each side. Instead of getting flower bulbs and veg bulbs and using Y connectors and all that ya know. What do you think?

oh yea Im dumb dude, the humidity here is 46% right now hah. The humidity would be a lil different than that inside yea?

Sorry man, I know im prolly annoying as hell with all these noob questions haha. :leaf:

Here's my thoughts. I use 85W or 105W CFL's to veg with. Three bulbs above your plants will do fine. Then I switch over to the 400W HPS fo flowering. I use three 85W 6500K to veg & I was happy with the results.

oh yea Im dumb dude, the humidity here is 46% right now hah. The humidity would be a lil different than that inside yea? Right because the plants give off moisture. A 6" 250CFM inline fan will keep the air moving.

whats up bluey, awesome!

What do you think the Humidity would be w/ the lights on inside the grow tent if say the outside humidity was 46% ?
Im def getting that fan tho dude thanks, Im gonna hit up Home Depot and do a lil shopping tomorrow ha. If I was to get side bulbs, should I go with 4100 kelvin Multispectrum? would that make a difference with yield and the plant or is it better to stick with 6500K,3000K veg/flower bulbs?

I was gonna get the SH kit that came with the 400w HPS light but I was freakin out about heat and venting and all that ya know? But now im reading how you and everybody use both CFLS and HPS. So now Im thinking I might have bought the wrong kit eh? :wall:
I saw Rosemans grow and he used just CFL's right? I remember I wanted to mimic his. I liked the end result and it seemed like he didnt do anything to crazy to get it like that, besides topping and growing it sideways I think, haha should I do that? Im always down with more yield.

Dude Im sure Ill think of more stuff to ask you I forgot What else I was gonna say. :-P

Later dude :leaf:

What light kit did you buy? Provide a link and we'll go from there.

As far as humidity, if you're exhausting out with the 6" inline 250CFM fan, you should be fine.

I've spent around $1900 bucks on my 1st grow. ie small cabinet and then a grow tent. I started off with the 3-in-1 reflector with three 85W CFL's which did great for vegging, but I felt wasn't going to get me the buds I wanted so I bought a 400W HPS system with a vented hood.

If I was to do it over again, I'd buy a 4' X 4' X 6.5' grow tent:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Hydroponics-Tent-48x48x78-Hydro-Cabinet-Grow-Budd-Box_W0QQitemZ220284486405QQcmdZViewItem

I would use three CFL's to Veg with & 600W HPS to flower.

http://www.htgsupply.com/growlighttypes.asp?categoryID=1&subcategoryID=101

Start off the plants in the SH tub and move them into 5 gal bucket just before flowering or as soon as they're too big for the tub.

Get back to me on the lights you bought & we'll go from there.

Peace!!!

Whats up.

This is the kit I bought. I figure if I add side lights to it, it might be a perfect grow kit but Im not to sure yet...http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=121&xSec=2&jssCart=bc521f8575cf98523f1e5e8ac4763133

Its just like yours but with 3 105w bulbs.

Yea dude that tents perfect and the price is nice, Im getting it thanks, ha.

What about the temp inside the tent like what if its not up to what I need during the day or at night. My garage gets really cold sometimes. How could I control that ya know?

alrite thanks man. peace :bigjoint:

Hey Bro, those 105W CFL's in that 3-in-1 reflector will do a great job vegging your plants. You can flower with it too, but like I said earlier you may want to get a 400W HPS with a vented hood to flower with. You'll know better as you get close to flowering.
Here's a note about the tent: the exhaust opening is only 4", so you'll have to mod it(cut it to 6")to fit your fan in.
As far as temp control goes, a space heater could be used on cold nights. Again, you'll figure it out :bigjoint:

Oh yea, you won't need any side lighting until your plants are about two weeks old, then add.

Peace & good luck!!

Hey what up Bluey.

Awesome bro Im excited as hell now man. I think im pretty much ready dude. After talking to you and Roseman and checking this site out, I gained a grip of knowledge dude. Ill fix that tent deal thanks for the heads up.

Another thing man. If I needed instructions fast could the grow book they give you with the SH kit be a good one to use, have you used it at all?
If I used CFL's to flower with would it be close to getting the same quality/yield an HPS would put out?

thanks for all the help dawg. If its cool man, ima still hit this page up asking you some stuff here and there.

Rosemans thread is the best place to search for info quickly. Post questions there and you'll get a quick response. SH home page, upper right you'll see links for "grow instr" & "faq".
If I used CFL's to flower with would it be close to getting the same quality/yield an HPS would put out? No, that's why I spent $245 w/shipping. 420Budman will get between 6 to 7 oz's from 2 plants using one 400W HPS.

Look Bro, I didn't know shit about growing back in Oct. and thanks to ppl like Roseman, Prup and many others I've learned a ton of shit. So I'm just paying it forward!

Most(myself included)new growers are too eager and usually do more harm than good by over managing their plants. Remember it takes time to go through the different phase: seed, sprout, seedling, mid-veg, full veg, transition, mid-bloom, full-bloom, flush and harvest. 13-14 weeks!!

HELP!!!!!!! Our plants grew so fast overnight and are already budding (at about 6 inches, they are white dwarf autoflowering). I need to know if we can tie them down at this point or if it's too late? We have a PC planter and I am afraid the light will burn them if they get too high (no pun intended). HELP!!!!!!

Yes, it'll really make those side buds get big. Tie as much as you want. Just dont prune/trim anything unless it's dead or really presenting a problem.

haha for sure. Ill def take it easy and try not to get to eager ha. Im so glad I found this place before I started dude.

What do you think I would yield if I did everything right growing 3 plants and used like 5 105w CFL's 500-600 watts for vegging and flowering.

How long does it take before going into veg mode dude.

Thanks :weed: :-P

Sorry dude, but I'm unable to answer that question, but if I was going to "guess" maybe 1.5oz per plant. You'll probably have to train the plants to keep them from stretching.

As far as veg mode, go check out the first 12 pages of my journal and that will give you a good idea.

So when are you getting started?

blueybong

Well-Known Member
Remember, you don't need a ton of lumens while vegging, it's when you flower that your plant needs the higher lumens.

So three 105W CFL's will veg your plants great, but a 400W HPS will give you bigger, tighter buds than 600watts worth of CFL's.

Check out my journal around the time I switched over from CFL's to HPS and you'll see the difference.

What up Bluey!

I think Im gonna start this next week dude. Im trying to get as much info as I can so I could have a decent first grow ya know. yeaaaa haha

Dude to be honest anything over 1.5 per plant and Im happy as hell. Hopefully closer to 2oz or more haha but yea man thats cool with me. I know as I keep growing Im gonna add more money to the setup.

Hey I saw these HPS lights on ebay man. Really good prices. I think I might get one from there. http://cgi.ebay.com/400-watt-HPS-GROW-LIGHT-400w-System-Hydroponic-sun-lamp_W0QQitemZ390033775012QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item390033775012&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1308%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Dude if I would have just spent $90 more on my SH Kit I could have just gotten an HPS 400w grow lightw/ ballast and all that. I have no idea why I didnt get that kit. Im totally regretting it now ha.
