Sticky Situation!!!!!!

i have an interesting question...

ive seen some people complaining that 4 weeks onwards of flowering that theyre leaves are starting to go yellow and start dying and dropping off as the weeks progress, and although ive seen people say its normal because ur plants arnt getting the nitrogen thats in your nutrients, but it doesnt matter anyway because the plants dont use the fan leaves anymore and that they put all theyre effort into the buds....

My question is.... my plants are starting the go the same way, and i use a quite a few advanced nutrient products!!!!
do i just leave it, or shall i use a nitrogen supplement to stop this happening??????

many longtime growers, such as arjan for one, keep their leaves fully green throughout flowering, i do as well, i give them N till the end.

Same here, no yellowing till the very end as the plant ends it's life cycle.

yeah...those that say that yellowing in flower is "normal" is just making excuses for their plants looking like hell and not getting what they need.people tend to forget that during the first 3-4 weeks of flower when they are going through the stretch...that they still need the same amount of N then as they do during veg.its best to keep using your grow nutes with a balanced npk up till the 3-4 week of flower when the stretch ends.then begin to slowing introduce your bloom nutes.N is what keeps your plants nice and green and promotes growth.and during its stretch is when its growing the most in a short amount of time.people tend to start their bloom nutes at the site of the first hairs...its not quite ready for them yet

i am growing cheese. Do i need to get a strict nitrogen only product? is this what you guys do?

yeah djruiner, ive noticed this. I have them on auto's and they drink HUGE amounts for the first 4 weeks, but ive notices this starting at around the 5th week, shall i just add a nitrogen only supplement? coz i use a pretty good range of A.N Nutes already.

it dont really matter what big named label product your putting into them as long as they are getting a good npk ratio.i use jacks classic and jacks only which is 20-20-20 for grow and 10-30-20 for bloom.and the best part..i spent $20 2 years ago on those nutes and still have yet to run out

im not shouting about using big names products, i was hoping an expert who knows these products well would be able to advise me what i may be missing, does anybody know if any of these products are high in nitrogen? if not then i need to use a mono supplement

each one is going to have it label what each of them have...when using that many products it might take some trail and error to find out what each strain needs and wants.just look for defiencys and try to correct them without getting nute burn...then when you find out how much it takes to get slight burn..back off our nutes a bit

i think you missed the advice you've been given. your plants tell you if you need N, not some stranger who happens to have used the same product as you. you're not going to "un-yellow" any leaves. you can only correct for going forward. if you want to know how much of such and such is in the products it will tell you on the label. if you don't like yellow leaves add more N. it doesn't matter what brand of N it only matters how it is used by the plant. you will want a faster acting N source if you are wanting to do some correcting. none of your questions have to do with advanced nutrients as a brand, and without pics no one can even confirm you have an N def in the first place.

will adding N do any harm if i dont need to add it?

I have not used the product AN, but I know that when your leaves are turning yellow you need to add some nitrogen to your plant(s) diet. It won't make the yellow leaves green again but it will prevent any more leaves from turning yellow. I use AN g/m/b with big bud/b52/and overdrive I dont use voodoo cuz I use H202 from week 3 of veg to the end of bloom I run
my ppm at 1300 and I only got yellowing in the final week of flush. Il answer any Q to the best of my knoledge

Nitrate nitrogen will help, that's what you should be using during flower as a N source. Just don't use urea.

Don't know, it doesn't list the form of nitrogen. I actually hate to recommend Advanced Nutrients, but the Sensi Grow A is almost straight nitrate N. Why don't you just tweak the ratio of your grow/bloom nutes? Or are you using the Canna line? I know they use one formula straight through the grow, but you should still be able to adjust the amount of A/B to get more N in the mix.

i dont use any canna atall, but i know someone hu had a N problem and used this from the flower stage onwards, and seems to have sorted his problem out!!! Ive just looked at the sensi grow A and there doesnt appear to be much nitrogen in it??????
