do it man!
Ima gonna! it's an extra 18k of 3000k lumens for the last 3-4 weeks of flowering (By the time they arrive) so that'll surely make a difference. They can be wired in series, no extra drivers needed, just a plug, a bit of ali for a frame and it's a simple solution :)

What's the difference between a black-eyed pea and a chick pea?
I've never had a black-eyed pea on my face before :D

Oregon leads America in both marital infidelity and clinical depression.
What a sad state of affairs. :D

Relationships are like mobile phones. You’ll look at your iPhone 5 and think, it used to be a lot quicker to turn this thing on. :D

Insomnia is terrbile...but on the plus side, only 3 more sleeps 'til Christmas :D

Just a quick update. End of week 4 of 12/12 and things are progressing slowly but surely. @lukio you said not too much happens in the 1st 4 weeks of 12/12 and that is the case here. I have noticed just in the past couple of days some trichs forming and the buds look healthy.
I'm seeing a bit of leaf damage similar to what I had before but nowhere near as bad, it's on maybe a dozen leaves over the 4 plants.
I took a lumen measurement and the top of the tallest plant was getting about 28k which is nowhere near enough so I've dropped the lights 15cms. They are now 35cms above the tallest plant instead of the 50cms they were at before. The lumens count is now at 60k-ish so a big improvement. I'm hoping there is not an increase in the leaf damage but I'll keep an eye on things and see how the girls react to the extra light.
I'll get some pics taken tomorrow when I pull the girls out for a leaf trim and a feed.
Cheers for stopping by.

:peace: :weed:

yoyoyoyoyoyo!

i wouldnt put em that close (: that sounds awfully cosy. how many watts are the diodes? not sure how good a lux reading is from blurple. it might be tempting to move the light closer if things seem slow but be careful man

Diodes are 5W x 60 but running @50%-ish so about 150W per panel. What height would you recommend mate?

ive never used the 5w diodes but my blurples are 250w at the wall and bleach the plants under two foot ishhh....
Cheers for that mate, I'll keep an eye on them. I don't know how long it'll take before they show any signs of being too close, if they are. I'll see how they are after 3-4 days and take it from there.

I've lifted the lights slightly and they are now 45cms above the tallest plant. Hopefuly that'll be fine but I'll keep a close eye on proceedings.
Life is gonna be so much easier when I have QB's, Coco, Mammoth P and Triacontanol. Growing should then be a pleasure instead a bit of a lottery with some anxiety thrown in!
Trichs are forming nicely and I'm starting to get a nice citrusy hit when I open my groom door.
I love the smell of limonene in the morning :D

Time for another update....it's a bit of a mixed bag tbh. My experiment to move the lights closer didn't work and I'm glad I moved them back up after less than a day. Still, I now know what distance the plants can tolerate and are happy at, so, a lesson learned which is a positive! The two plants that did suffer are recovering; I can see leaf tips that are no longer brown and crispy so although it doesn't look great they haven't suffered tooooooo much.
So........
