Suddenly, all dissent was treason.

Wtf? Bannon came out and cried that Senator Bob Corker's criticism of a sitting President is anti-American and disrespectful of the flag, apple pie and our brave, brave fighting forces because we have troops serving in the field.

Is this really happening? Is the Trump faithful really buying this shit? Did they not savage Obama every three minutes when he was in office? Why was that not treasonous; there were troops serving in conflicts under Obama.

Do these inbred idiots think that they can brand patriotism and define it as mindless flag worship with a blank check to an insane commander in chief that has no idea whatsoever how to do the job he was elected to do? Apparently yes.

This is a shameless attempt to divide American society for their own benefit. I would have never guessed that so many of the American people are this dumb. But Trump and Bannon did.

No good will come of this. A dictatorial power grab is underway.

Trump and Bannon are living in the wrong country if they think their shit is going to fly for much longer in the US.
Their day's are numbered, as evidenced in recent polls which show that the American public are wising up, and no longer buying into their lies.
Not all, but most Americans it seems are finally pulling their heads out of their asses, and ready to take back their dignity and honor from a corrupt and dysfunctional WH, if necessary through the 25th Amendment.

Maybe. I wish I had your optimism.

I smell something behind the scenes by the way the rhetoric is ramping up. We are being pre-sold on something around the bend. Scandal is coming. Forces are being marshaled. A narrative is being sold and there are buyers all around just waiting for the story to come together into something simple and easy to believe without making your head hurt and challengIng one's "cultural traditions".

I think that those "in the know" realize that things are going to get bad for Trump and they need to portray this as a "stab in the back" by the deep state. Lights are going out all over the country, I fear.

Emergency powers are going to be needed... A nuclear option - before elections can take place. I can feel it, America is fighting for its soul.

Spend decades destroying public education, point to failing schools as evidence that big govt doesn't work, reap the rewards of stupid people.

It's how all theocracies operate. Ban education EXCEPT for the lawmakers and clerics, but only teach them what you want them to know.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

Don't forget the ever-effective tactic of starting a war.

I'm seeing it, too. It seems very much like the era right around 1929; the haves increasingly have more, the have nots have less than ever and fascism was on the march. The Crash of '29 want the only disaster in American economic and social circles, just the most memorable one.

And just think, these people actually wasn't to start yet another war in order to rescue us from our economic malaise. World War II didn't save this country's economy, the fact that everyone had to pull together, plus high taxes and shared benefits did.

Nuclear weapons make that an extinctive option, and in any case war is always far more destructive than constructive.

You remember '29 vividly, yeah?

A dictatorship is what the orange turd had planned from the start. All you had to do is watch the speeches from him and the campaign higher ups. They pretty much laid out their plan for anyone that was listening, some of the speeches were at private fundraisers and right wing gatherings. Then you add who he put in key positions and more importantly is all the positions he purposely didn't fill and still hasn't.

Anecdotal.
So is death by nuclear bomb, but I believe that as well. So you think it was a fun and rosy time? What are you smoking and where can I get some.

But you can go to any nursing home and ask if anyone lived through it. There are still people alive who have and can tell you a thing or 10k. Or is that anecdotal as well?

And finally, stories were well documented by one of the wpa projects at the time. Live interviews, recorded so you can hear it in their own words. Or is that anecdotal because you didn't live through it yourself.

I remember the stories my parent's told me. Vividly. They were both born in the mid 1910's, so they were plenty old enough to know the hardship. It's not something we need to repeat.
Yeah,my parents grew up during the depression, it really had a huge impact on that gen. Then those same young people went into WWII, my father and uncle lived threw both.

I'm saying it's not 1929.

And everything you say is still anecdotal and the entire premise depends on the presumptions made by the 50 year old virgin which I (and I suspect others) do not accept.

For debate to work we need to be under the same base presumptions and argue from there.

Why bother writing such nonsense?
