Yeah, I like the original strains that most of these hybrids consist of somewhere down the lineage line. Got Afghani now & have had Original Blueberry for 2 years. The Sweet Black Angel is a cross of 2 classics.
Also like my Sensi-Star & Tangi, although they're not that old a strains nor originals.
Quick update.

Sensi-Star , she's jumping bays so I could only get this branch. image.jpg

Ace of Spades x Astro Dawgimage.jpg Started flush on some of these.
The Afghani & 1 Tangi has fried leaves for awhile now. I think they got fried from experimenting w/ Plant Dr. (Organic PM preventative) using the soil drench method back when they were in 6" Potts. Deffinetly effected the yield. Plants need they're leaves, that's for sure. De-fo does work though for many strains. Just gotta follow the Day 1 n Day 20 rule.

I started smoking in Europe in the 90s so I was brought up on the classics. Jack Herer, NL#5, and Shiva Shanti were some of my all time favourites... shame they're just not the same anymore. I do still really enjoy "skunky" weed to this day.

I also wanted to tell you I that I kinda "suncloaked" my tent this week... I'll take some pics to show you. I think you will like it :bigjoint:

I crossed a female Shiva Shanti 2 with DP's blueberry in late 80s... fantastic smoke.
Unfortunately I lost that one :-?
I still have a Sensi Star from '08 tho...... and it ain't going anywhere soon.

Haha nice! One of my current favourites in rotation is Special Queen #1 - old school skunky smell and taste that just takes me back. i find myself reaching for that as much as anything else lately... lucky I just put 8 in the tent to flower cos I'm down to my last nug in the jar!

Geeze, youz guys got some years on me.
We had bomb Mids in the 90's & was one of the only guys around to get true Kind Bud (original Strains) from the rich college kids when they went home for vacation.
Then, early 2000 was the BC's (Beastlies) which was good n seedless but no name n always the same.
Growing didn't start legally around here till 2007.
Here's some Sensi-Star just down.image.jpgimage.jpgNot the best pics though. Had to run out the door.
Everything comming out of the Cloak is very, very dense w/ the exception of some of the lower stuff on some of the strains. This system has surprised me over n over.
Certainly has Changed my opinions on needing high intensity light to grow.

Ok so I finally got around to taking some pics of my finished tent setup. This time round I added some vertical Bridgelux EB strips on the corner tent poles to help get some light to the lowers. In my experience this is an easy way to turn popcorn into real food.

Sorry these pics aren't the best, but hopefully you can see what I was going for. Like @Hybridway I have my "main" lighting at the top and then strips going down the sides. It's nice to be able to run the top lights softer as you're not trying to get light all the way from the top to the bottom.

>the wattage of each sun cloak bar is surprisingly low....
i guess being able to get s nclose means all the photons make it to the desired location
despite not being high readings

you and suncloak really have shown us a lot..

suncloak design is stunning..

i want to rig up the 1170 mm strips i just got..drive them at less wattage than rated
and see what happens..

thanks..

Very cool!
Maybe put more strips on the walls? 2'-3' would be good. Then you could really maximize your vertical plants. Only thing is, w/ allot of them, I found I need to find a better way to support the plants. Side branches turned to colas then the weight became to much.
Gonna get tomatoe cages for next run & use wire ties to hold up the branches that shoot out sideways.
The strip along side of the cob bar is a neat idea too. I'd like to see that on my Pro-4's.
Are those rings around the cobs lens holders?

Yeah I could do with a few more of them in there for sure - I just like how they easily attach to the corner poles and the metal pole helps dissipate the heat. The other side could definitely benefit from having two rows of these on top of each other. Probably in time I'll end up engineering a way to hang them mid way along the walls too. Cheers

Do you trellis? I cant find mine right now, but I need to put one in the left side asap... this right side that you can see will prob be ok cos they're so small...

The strip along the COB bar was mainly just to maximise the voltage of this 1050mA driver, compared to all the others at 1400mA, but I do have plans to actually make a couple of bars like this to fill in the gaps. I have limits to how much power I can run in this tent right now, but eventually I'd like to have about 1400W in there :)
