@Hybridway,

Sorry to ask again bro, but you didn't answer before.

What are the specs on the Horizon light please? How many watts total, how many strips make up "one" horizon lights? What's the cost get you basically?

Horizons: $300
- 100 watts
- x8 strips @ 12.5 watts each
- approx. 172 Lpw
- x1 MeanWell Driver
- diodes: Cree
- Ip67 rated
- 16" x 4' flower or 2' x 4' veg (pretty sure he's working on a bigger, stand-alone flower Horizon)
- 22K, 27K, 56K, 4K? (add up to 2k in blue for silicone protection)
- T-5 replacement w/ fuller spectrum @ 1/4 the watts. (My theory & reports from the owner)
- light as a feather, still good build quality.

The x3 Horizons I'm using are 4k (43k) to supplement my 22k (24k) Verticals which are 22" on center.
These things rock! Never imagined this much light coming from 100 w.
It's a 440w t-5 replacement from what I see w/ my par-meter. 400 PPFD approx. from my 4K Horizon.
I'll be documenting the Veg once I get the 56k's (59k) up to confirm my theories on them being a direct replacement.

I could see these being used for all kinds of applications in the garden.

Doug went above n beyond to make sure I was totally satisfied w/ everything. He customized my 32" blades, 27k verticals, my 4k Horizons, & made me 16" wide 56k veg Horizons when they're generally 2' x 4'.
He gave me everything I asked for. Wicked happy w/ SunCloak!:hump:

Thanks bro, I will keep an eye on your progress then. My Quantum Bad Boy is the 8 Bulb version and I am not unhappy with it, but for the same price as "trying" the new Hortilux Bulbs I could try one of these. This is not an immediate purchase just another one of my projects. You know I like to test all kinds of stuff.

After my move I was thinking of using the T5 strictly for my autos to not clog up the veg tent like what's happening now, so that's what got me thinking of this. :bigjoint:

image.jpg There is 7 bays available.
Gonna trellis the end-caps n hopefully the rest can support their own weight.
Kindve getting a lil scary in size cuz they just started & are already just so massive.
Thinking about a de-fo. It seemed to work well last run in this system but I know some/most of these strains don't really like it.
Gotta fix the cold air intake first, then I'll go at it strategically.

If you're looking for a great veg light look at the nextlight veg8. Of it's cool with @Hybridway I'll post a pic up of it later. I'm running 2 in a 4x4 and my temps don't leave outta the 70's

Went to respond to this before but guess I didn't.
What I was gonna say was, if I were to grow autos myself n not use my Amares but still use what I own, I'd sprout off 3k,35k cfl, then some T-5, then primary vegging would be w/ the MH daylight Blue (beast mode) then HPS for flower.
Never grew the autos but i think the goal is to beast them as much as possible as fast as possible.
BigSmo kills it.

Thanks bro, yeah Smo has helped me a lot with the autos bro and right now the three I have going are on beast mode for their age and compared to my last run with the same strain. And I LOVE my Blue MH for primary veg which is why I went back to it. Then I have the 2K HPS in the 5x9 with the Horti Enhanced HPS bulb.

Thanks for all the info plants are looking killer.

Tons of buds forming only 9 days in. These Horizons rock used in conjunction w/ the Cloak! Still can't believe they're only 100watts. They grow like they're 400 all day. Love this set-up! I'm now starting to focus on strains for the Cloak as some of the ones that didn't do to well w/ above lighting seem to strive in this light.
image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I never did put any lil lights above these last 2 sections. Guess I'll see the difference the Horizons have to offer. As of now, they are far exceeding my expectations.

Looking nice and healthy in there man the plants seem to just flow with these SC lights so easily huh...........
Thanks! Yeah, it's crazy how well they grow in the Cloak w/ lil to no work on my end.
Plus I barely cut any lower branches off & they're forming buds similiar to the size of the top.
Honestly, I was skeptical when I first bought this light but now I'm so glad I did. Last run it proved itself to me, now I see it doing even better the more o get the hang of it.
The key I think is to not put em in to big to be efficient.
