Supergirl/Growers First Flight

This is my first grow ever and I am looking for some advice/guidance. Take a look at my setup. 3 - 15 Gallon Tubs with a garbage bag on the outside. Each tub has 5 - 5 inch net pots with a peat moss germination kit surrounded by small pebbles (from lowes). Each tub also has its own seperate airstone and pump. They are under 2 400W HPS sun lamps. There is a standard box fan for circulation. These are accompanied by the Aerogrow 6 spacesaver with a seperate pump/airstone. There are 2 - 100W CFL's on the aerogrow. My "closet" is 3 x 7 ft. Feel free to ask questions and provide critique.
The temp is a concern as it is consistently above 90. The space is enclosed by a king size comforter for now. I am looking to get something reflective to hang or cover the comforter (any ideas?).
It is day 7 for the tubs and day 14 for the aerogrow.

With that kit you will do very well.
The temps are rising because you are just recirculationg the air around the lamps. You need to get that air out and cold air in.
The intake and exhaust should be on different sides and the exhaust should be as high up as possible as that is where it is hottest. They will also need some form of light proofing and odour control.
Have a look in the growroom design section for some ideas.
Do it soon too cos those are big temps.

Good luck with the grow.

I can't see an extractor or exhaust there so still no hot air is escaping.
The light leak is a bit severe too. You won't be able to flower properly until that is sorted out.

Just looking at the pics and that ballast should be moved outside the grow area as it is generating much of the heat.
It's hard to see properly but the leaves look like they are affected by nuteburn. Are you feeding them already?

There is an opening at the top near the ceiling but I am going to have to figure out a remedy for an exhaust system asap. They did have nute burn as I mistakenly fed them after the first week. However flushed twice and they (some) have recovered nicely. I have been looking in the design room/setup but am not getting a whole lot of ideas for an exhaust/intake.

I will move the ballasts and try to find a solution for the exhaust/intake and post some more pics.

Thanks again.

Maybe you're not getting much feedback cos you posted in the grow journal instead of a grow forum.

A couple of simple and quick fixes until you sort something out though:

You can use a vacuum effect to get cold air in if you turn the fan around and use it to take warm air out. Air will find a way in to fill the void.
You could use a cardboard box on the side and cut a hole in it for your intake vent. The comforter should drape over to seal everything but the hole.
Now if you cut the top and side off a milk or juice carton and place it over the hole with the top pointing down you will still get airflow but light will be restricted. Not perfect but better than what you have.
You can use a similar trick for the exhaust fan exit.

So these have really bloomed over the past 2 weeks. I've been slowly increasing the nutes. As you can see in the pictures there are still some rugged looking leaves (from earlier nute burn and ph imbalance) should I get rid of them?

There are a few new leaves that are developing some white and some red spots. Any ideas?

Most of these plants are 5 weeks along and 4 of them are 6 weeks along. When do I begin to cut back on 24 hours of light?

Also, are these plants to close together? There are a total of 13 plants but I feel the reservoir does not allow them enough room.

There is some weird curling going on as well.
