Anybody use ? What are your thoughts?

I just whipped up a batch using this recipe....but I used pro mix and added some kelp. Gonna let it cook for 6-8 weeks and give it a go. I'm also thinking about using Mammoth P and Recharge.......I've seen many positive reviews on both products.
  • 1 ten gallon bag of high quality Organic Potting Soil Such as “Roots Organic Soil”
  • 3 to 6 pounds of Organic Earthworm Castings (1 lb. of casting = about 1 gal.)
  • 10 ounces of Blood Meal ( 10 oz. of blood meal = about 1 & 1/2 cups)
  • 10 ounces of Bloom Bat Guano ( 10 oz. of guano = about 1 cup)
  • 10 ounces Fish Bone Meal ( 10 oz. of bone meal = about 1 cup)
  • 6 ounces Rock Phosphate
  • 1&1/2 tablespoons Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate)
  • 2 tablespoons or 1 oz. (liquid measure)of Dolomite Lime
  • 1 tablespoons or 1/2 oz. (liquid measure) of Azomite (trace elements)

I grow in soil... it doesn't seem as "super" though.

if you're interested in a rabbit hole look up clackamas coot or the "recycled living organic soil from..." threads over at icmag. It'll set you on a good path.

Seen the price of Mammoth P? $180 US a liter. Not doubting it works but at that price theres gotta be other options
Yes it sure is dear, but when you consider the feed chart recommend .03-.06 mil per gallon for supersoil application that liter would go a long way. I have a small setup mind you.

Why not look at agricultural suppliers for similar inoculants?
For example,
Nutrilife 4/20 is an innoculant containing nitrogen fixing and phosphorus fixing bacteria. You can order it here in Canada via agriculturesolutions for a mere $370/ kg - that kilogram will make 10,000l of concentrate which can be diluted to 30,000l for spot feeding.

Better yet, don't worry about the extra yield you'll get from either product and focus on dialing in your environment.

I've never even heard of that thanks. after looking at the directions it looks a bit more complicated to brew and use compared to mammoth..but it's a fraction of the cost...this is will be my first attempt with organic so I've got much to learn....have you personally had Any experience with any inoculates ?

I've been using mykos/myke inoculant for years. Just switched over to a different product on a whim from black swallow living soils called "soil activator". Price was right at $12/lb.

Quite frankly I couldn't tell you if any of them are better or worse. Like I said I'd put the effort into dialing your environment before fucking with expensive additives - you probably won't notice the difference at this stage anyways.

When you say environmen are talking soil? Or like room environment? For me my temps and humidity are the lest of my worries.

Temp, humidity, airflow, light quantity and quality.

Then focus on your soil and feeding/watering processes.

once all the above is consistent, start to focus on meeting your goals in quality and quantity.

Got ya. I've only got one indoor harvest under my belt, but all things considered it came out better then I hoped. Even though I had ph issues I stilled harvested over 1gpw ( if that even means anything ) of great buds that I would hold up to anything I can get else where.
I'm using sensi ph perfect line from advance currently and every thing seemes on track for another great harvest ( knock on wood ). Much better then the last from what I'm seeing, But I'm also trying Scrog fir the first time too.

RO, I made the mistake of using my tap water last time....that's where my ph issues came from. I've sense ran into cal-mag issues this time which I was able to fix with cal-mag. But the cal mag messed with the ph perfect and eventually caused another ph issue during VEG. The ph issues got better after switching to bloom though. I called the advanced hot line and the guy said to absolutely not use cal-mag with ph perfct......and to do a spray instead. So that's what I'm doing with this new batch of seedlings I got going from peekseeds bc.

What brand of cal-mag do you use ?

Then why do they sell their own Cal Mag product. That's like saying don't add lime to your soil or epsom salts to your food.
I'm just telling it the way I was told from an AN rep....don't believe me call and ask. if you used ph perfect with cal mag and had no issues I'd like to know what brand you used.

I think my biggest issue is my pots are taking too long to dry out 5-7 days sometimes when it should be more like 2-4 days. On the next round I've added more purlite and so far so good. Can't let all the salts build up in the soil.
