@whitebb2727 that is a beautiful cab man! Damn well put together. I like how you even fit a carbon filter in there. I never could do that here as I'm in a rooming house so I can't do anything to alter the room as far as nailing up or drilling holes for stuff. You got everything... A temp/humidity guage, nice chain for your light so you don't need to physically move the plants down and or worry about the cardboard getting warped and the plant unknowingly tipping/falling over(happened to me with a bagseed plant but it still lived despite the soil on the rug and the root ball and side roots hanging out. I got the same fan but mine blows very softly. It's a beautiful DIY cab! Props man!
I was going to turn a metal portable cabinet or closet watever into a grow cab but it was thrown out before I could make space for it. Yeah I love wooden cabs like that. When I first tried to start back in 05-06 I built one myself. I hung a blanket over it and put some air fresheners on top and some other shit and it was great till an even occurred and the person who took my plants and shit to watch for a night stole it all and moved to Cali. Took me many years to decide to get back into the game after that. I love your cab. If I could paint or screw in a homemade mini shelf like yours I'd be in heaven. I'm always looking on the side of the road the days I go out for a portable closet or bureau or something I could make into a growcab. No luck yet. Maybe this spring it's freezing here in Mass now. Beautiful cab again I love it. Very well done!:peace::weed:
Thank you.

The cab is one I got from a thrift store. it is 2x4x6. Walmart has a nice 2x2x6 one.

The beauty of it is no alterations to a home. It is just a piece of furniture.

My first one was a little oak cabinet from like in a kitchen.

Check out the micro grow and stealth section. Lots of good ideas.

Hey everyone at RIU!

Sorry for not updating this I have been super busy with things and my girl here.

I chopped her and trimmed and hung her a few days ago. I left her in dry soil for a good 30-31 hours before I took her out to prune and chop.
She's been hanging upside down in the closet for 4 days now. As it's freezing here In MA, the heater adds a lot of humidity to the room so I've been checking on them daily for mold. So far so good. She needs another 3 days I'm guessing by the stems how they are still flexible.
I've failed drying buds in my past grows(cutting every green leaf that's supposed to dry and cover the calyxs to protect them) and they turned very dry, harsh and airy so I tried a more suggested method and cut off the fans and some small leaves and left the sugars on as you can tell. I don't care how long as gotta wait but I don't want them over dry. I'm going to leave the sugar leafs on and just trim it straight into a jar.
I have a feeling drying the right way like this will take longer and I expect as much. Usually by now they are dry and crispy but these are nice and dense and getting dry. I can't wait till I can start the cure .
I've also never gotten the cure down yet. I leave the buds in the jars in a drawer so in the dark and open em once a day for a minute or two than closebit back up. Every few days I try to gently stir it around a little to let what's on the bottom get some air but I loose a lot of hairs doing that. I don't like it. Also I usually in the first week-week and a half end up with that hay smell and if I'm lucky I can only get a little bit of dank odor back. Is my jars not being 100% full or partly full a reason or am I not burping it enough or what do you guys think? I as stated have a few days at least before I can trim it off the stems and straight into the jar. This is a rare strain especially for me. I was beyond fortunate to get a cutting so I've been trying to treat her with as much care and love as I possibly could and I want to bring out the best I can of it. Treat it with the respect it deserves. I'll more than likely never find a cutting again. If anyone has a better way or has a suggestion of something I could do different to get better results, I'd love to hear from you! I'm trying to improve the most I can so I can grow the best quality meds with what I have to work with. I am very eager to read long info about the subject. I browse on Google and read grow reports and information regarding strains, growing techs, what's best to do in a situation I've faced or could face I can think of etc.. I'm very enthusiastic about growing and legalization and everything in between regarding the #HEMP and #CANNABIS plant especially for a disabled poor person who has a hard time moving. So I read lots of random things from many different websites. I don't join many but I am glad I joined here at RIU:weed:!

Helping each other should be a huge factor for why your part of the #CannabisCulture .

Here are some pics I took of my girl while I was trimming her and pics of them hanging for 4 days in darkness I took yesterday. The nugs look very crystally and shiny and she's covered in trichs. I LOVE it! :weed::peace: :leaf:.

Enjoy the pics and I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions and or just what ya think.

My next grow will be my first ever attempt at an Autoflower strain. I'm not starting it till next month. It will probably be DNA's 60 Day Wonder but I'm also thinking of my Narco Purp bean I bought or the Kera Dwarf but I'm about 100% on germing a 60 Day Wonder bean. I wanted the regular Williams Wonder but when I was ordering I could not find it anywhere at the time. I also have some SkullRyder and "a little kushy" female auto beans to try as well as a bunch of photoperiod feminized beans and some regulars like a high thc/cbd strain called Serendipity made by a breeder no longer in the business and some Afghani's. I'm very excited to have a couple Pakistan Valley fem seeds which are 100% indica to try as well.

OK have a great day all and I'll put up the pics in my next reply. :peace: :eyesmoke::weed::leaf:

Here are the pics of my Mother Of Berries plant before and after trim. As stated she's been hanging in that small closet upside down in darkness for 4 days now. The stems are still bendable.

I think for what I had she came out good. I'm very happy. As I said I gave her as much care and respect as this hard to find clone only strain deserves.

How do you think I did? And thank you @whitebb2727 for that link. I'm no good with crafts but I try the best I can with what I got. My room ua very small. Very little floor space. When I take everything out from in front of the closet the floor is full you can't move. Everything's crammed together.

Anyway, you guys don't care or want to hear any of that shit so...onto the pics!

Positive Vibes to everyone on RIU and let me know what you think as this was my best grow yet! Stay Lifted all! :peace::weed::leaf::mrgreen:

Also, honestly here. I have those fanleaves from that pink container in a glad plastic Tupperware container to store them. I am making sure they get air so they despite some starting to get damp, begin to mold. I know there is CBD in them and other beneficial cannabinoids. So, what do you guys suggest I do with them? Should I leave them out to dry, should I try to keep the fresh in the container? Can I make tea or juice or a tincture or something out of them? Maybe some kind of hash? But until I can use them, what is the best method to store them, and how long do they have before they go bad(not mold I mean have the CBD and other cannabinoids degrade from them?

Thanks everyone in advance for any suggestions as I've looked online and have found not to much on what you can do with your cannabinoid filled leafs but I know it's got some use. I just want to store them so they don't go bad until I can make something from them. They start to loose their terpines or whatever in them and start to smell like wet grass(not bud regular grass u walk on) and loose their very mild weed plant/fresh leaf smell. Once I learn how to make root tea I'll be able to use the whole plant!

OK, thanks guys. Peace, Positive Vibes, and Stay Lifted!

Just freeze anything you want to save. Later you can soak it in pure grain alcohol. I use 190 proof. Then strain it and take the liquid and put it in a rice cooker to evaporate the alcohol. You can also set a pan on top a pot of water and use the steam to evaporate. When all the alcohol is gone you scrape up the resin with a razor blade.

@whitebb2727 awesome! I left the leaves out to the air yesterday as I was afraid of molding(I have had fresh leafs turn to mush in my mini fridge) so they are getting dry. Once they are dryish I'll bag and put em in the fridge. My small freezer they give u here can only hold like smaller than or just about 1 Mason jar sized thing and it's full of frost but ya I'll try and fit them in somewhere.

Thanks @whitebb2727 for that info. Your the man, I appreciate it! If I can ever find someones kitchen to access and use I'll do that for sure. Hopefully someone else reads this and finds that info also as most people I've talked to say they trash their leafs and I feel that's unnecessary especially as old tribes used to make tea from the roots(who uses those honestly?:-):weed::leaf::peace:✌

I was given some stuff last night from someone really the only actual person I met that grew is giving up. Their ballast caught fire and they gave up eventually after trying cfls as their plants were mini and to them not worth the effort. Also, they are having personal issues and a baby(but honestly they aren't ready to handle one) so they gave me a bunch of their growing shit.
I got a 400w MH bulb and 2 Hortilux 400w HPS bulbs and a ton of other stuff. I had to give a little back after but I have the bulbs which will be good to have in case I ever find a lamp similar to theirs(thin and oval) so it can fit in my small open shirt closet I grow in, or keep for the future if I ever move out of here and can handle a stronger light.
What really helped me is the reflective material. I don't know the name(space blanket maybe?) But it looks like a diff texture than foil reflective material that feels like bubble wrap or something in the middle. That I really needed. There's more in the pic than I ended up with(they took some back as I said) so I have maybe just enough for the back of my closet. But I got some neat product catalogs with nute regimen schedules for many different nutes. That will be helpful for if I ever decide to get something better.
My plan is to keep using my T5 till I can get a 250w LED as I know LED is superior to MH and HPS from all the reading and spectrum charts I've looked at as well as how plants do overall. I read someones report who was running a HPS and LED in the same room, the plants started to bend toward the LED that were under the HPS.:!::o .

So this stuff I got at a good moment! It'll be great to have and my next grow should give me a bit more yield as I'll have good reflective material that will bounce light not just suck it in and not reflect it back...

I also am enjoying reading these old product catalogs and such especially seeing what's out there product wise as well as the hydrofarm one has nutrient charts for many different brands and I use fox farm but if I ever try a new and suggested nutrient I'll have it's chart at the ready! I am also enjoying reading the Indoor Gardening magazine from the 2015 Indoor Gardening Expo in Boston. Has some good information ✌:-D:weed::leaf::peace:
