T5 or MH light to start autos?

I have a 2x4 T5 light with power veg bulbs.
I also have a 400w MH/HPS light with dimmable ballast.
Should start the autos with the T5 or just start them with the MH lighting
just set at a lower setting?

T5 for 2 weeks at a good height, they don't need light but heat at first

then once large enough

go for the Mh, again at a distance

use your temp gauge to advise you

good luck

I would start them with t5. I go from start to finish with t5.
The mh will grow some squat plants.
I have a 2x4 T5 light with powerveg bulbs.
I also have the red powerveg bulbs for flower.
How many autos could I grow under that size light.
The reason I asked about the 400w light is because I have 4 autos.

You could start the 4 under the t5. Its not big enough to grow all 4. I use a 4ft 8 bulb to grow.

You could use the t5 power veg to start. When they get bigger go to the mh and when they start to flower good use the mh and the t5 with the red bulbs for mixed spectrum.
