T5 recommendations?

Greetings,

Brand new here. I'm looking for some options for T5 lighting. My primary purpose is for starting seedlings for my garden, but I may have other uses as well.

It's my understanding I need 2 different light spectrum, so I'm looking for something that can do both. I assume this is as simple as swapping bulbs, but I'm fairly new to the idea of grow lights.

I'm not looking to take over the world or anything here, just looking for something functional :)

Thanks for your time

Check out Transcend Lighting for LED t5 tubes. Yes you can transition from veg by adding/swapping out bulbs

Those sure look super nice. I'm not sure I can spend $500-$1,000 on lights though. I was hoping to keep things more in the $200 range starting out. Like I said, I'm not looking to take over the world or anything, just trying to be more self sufficient when it comes to my plants, garden variety and possibly otherwise.

Just a question to others here. Do T5's with switched flowering bulbs do well in flower? My impression, and I could be wrong, is that T5s seem to work well for me in veg but flower not as much. Maybe I am doing something wrong;.

I have a two footer in my closet tent that's doing good. running the 6500k bulbs it came with with no issue.

I am now testing GE 6500K bulbs in my 8 bulb four foot Quantum Bad Boy unit in my 2x4 tent and the plants are loving it I can get closer to the plants to control height when needed and my temps are down.............

Before that I was messing with a mixed spectrum of bulbs and flowered two autos just to see while my other plants vegged happy with the results

I use the cheap durolux models from amazon. A 4ft 8 bulb is little over a $100 with bulbs.

My connection is slow right now so I can't post pics but check the last few pages of the thread in my signature. I flower with them.
