Tampered Shesha?

Last summer, a couple of buddies and myself wanted to smoke some Shesha but all of the lounges were closed up. We stopped at one of those locally owned gas stations for some snacks as we planned on cheefin' it up later that night. We did see some "true Egyptian Shesha" in mint flavor and decided to pick up some of it. We take it back to the house, load up a good bowl, and begin to toke....

About 20 minutes into our hookah sesh, ALL of us began to feel really strange and couldn't stop laughing. The whole room was spinning, we were light-headed, having mild hallucinations, and apparently gained super powers somewhere along the trip. Prior to that summer, I had a pretty gruesome wreck (raced motocross) and was wheelchair-bound for a couple of months. In that timeframe, I had plenty of practice time on my hands to learn my balancing... And by balancing, I mean wheelies. I was just cruising around in the chair doing some wheelies and my hat fell off. Too lazy at the time to get up and get it, I decided to spin around (in mid-wheelie), grab the hat with my feet, and attempt to kick it up in the air and catch it on my head. Got spun around, check. Grab the hat with feet, check. Toss it up in the air to catch it on my head...... CHECK!!!! Probably one of the coolest feats I've done while (I believe) intoxicated. Shortly after, one of my friends started to feel a little queasy. He went outside, ralphed a couple times, and SWORE that the puddle he had just left had gotten up and scurried away... The "high" lasted for a good hour or so, and had a pretty easy come down.

I do not know what was in that Shesha, whether it was tampered with, or if it was just a very strong brand (we usually smoke Fantasia brand), but I have yet to smoke Shesha with those effects to this day. Just thought I'd share our little adventure!

It definitely sounds like you were sold some research chemicals sprayed onto dried plant matter, most likely something from the JWH series or the other synthetic cannabinoids available. It is strange that it was labeled as Shisha and not herbal incense. That doesn't sound good. :(
