Brutal winter here, haven't seen this much snow since the '90's.

The water line at my buddy's place is a few feet below the bench. I think we're at the highest level it's going to get.

Another friend was evacuated from a bed & breakfast he's been renting...because his house caught fire last August and he set up temporary shop while it's being repaired. That's some pretty bad luck, burned out and now flooded out.

Driveway is clear. A lot of shoveling. I have a 21" Ariens blower at the other place, too heavy to lift into truck by myself.
At least I'm not worried about water in my living room like some guys are right now.

I lent out 6 submersible pumps, complements of my former employer, a multimillion dollar corporation who doesn't miss them. Lol.

There is a 5 mile long ice jam on the Allegheny River right now, every tributary is backed up and flooding. And it's going up to 60° Monday.

Did I say I like living on a hill?

You rock. Thank you for helping the Earthlings, we really need it. So glad to hear you are okay. Carry on...

Salt will wreck the stone. Especially since he went the ep Henry route. Itll eat it up and take away the color
Rock salt eats everything it contacts.

You can use magnesium chloride on pavers (or anything) but it's not cheap. Over 50 cents a pound, 50 lb. sack is 24.95 plus tax.

Those pavers will glaze under the right weather conditions, and you don't see it kinda like black ice. I have gotten stuck in my driveway this winter---on foot, over the end slope taking the garbage bags out for pick up. Took 10 minutes to walk 20 feet back up over the slope. People were driving by blowing the horn and waving, having no idea I couldn't walk up without slipping.
