I'll get around to that one day. It's actually an icon I found on the web. I did add the tongue but would need to do the whole face before I felt good about using it officially.

My PAR meter is still being borrowed but I hope to have it back in the next day or so. I'll post par maps as soon as I can make them. Basic output information is provided on the product page.

T33 using 300 watts provides 715 PPF
T33 using 400 watts provides 912 PPF

I'm also cooking up a higher efficiency DIY solution for 2x4' (and 4x4') areas. I'll have more info on that in the next couple weeks but I can say the output efficiency will be above 3 umol/j and Tasty will again be pushing the envelope.
Looking forward to the 3 umol/j solution you're cooking up. Liking the logo too.

I've worked out how to build enclosures for the T22, so after the current batch of T22s are gone the lamp will be getting an update. This opens up the opportunity to reintroduce the various lengths Tasty is known for. This will include a T22, T23, and T24 for 2x2', 2x3', and 2x4' areas, also paired up for 3x4', 4x4' and 5x5' configurations. I am happy with the T22 in it's current form but am excited to get back to the metal working and offering a full line of lamps.

I have no plans at the time to update the T1, though that may change in the future.

I currently have 15 T22 enclosures and will have some stocked sometime early next week.
There are eight T1s still in stock.
There are three T4s still in stock. These lamps are running at the same efficiency as the T22s and at the same $/umol (.70 cents)

I'm also working on a top secret project. It's not a light but it's related to lights. More info when the time is right.

It looks like there will be 3 models, T22P, T32P and T33P. I'm going to start with just the T22 and T32, small batch of both and use that experience to refine if needed. The T33 is a bit complicated and I want to make sure the wiring and overall appearance will be nice. I've got everything down on paper and am in the process of building a prototype T22P. Heatsinks have been ordered but probably won't be here until around the end of the month so once the fab is done I'll be stuck waiting on the sinks for assembly. If everything looks good the first batch will be available mid October.

Anyway, a few stats:

All aluminum construction
Open frame design
Passively cooled
Over sized heat sinks, fan cooled performance

Beyond that the T22P will have the same output characteristics as the current T22, 56% emitter efficiency, 102 PAR watts. I'm pretty stoked being able to offer passive lamps with case temps in the low 40s. Ditching the fans means no fan drivers. Shortest component lifespan estimated at 7 years.

Out of my head and into reality. Here are the aluminum components for the T22P in position with a heat sink I have laying around. The actual sinks will be larger and splayed.

I used a sand blaster to prep the parts for powder coating hoping to cut down on time and effort. You can't see in the photo but the finish is a bit rough. The sand really digs into aluminum and leaves bits on the surface that don't come off with compressed air. I used a medium grit sand so hopefully a light grit or dropping the air pressure will give me a finish I'm happy with. Also you can see the bottom plate of the wiring enclosure is warped. Thin sheet, even steel will do that. I'm told it's because heat friction from the sand changes the temper of the surface, but it could also be the rapid expansion of surface area on one side causing it. Won't matter once everything is bolted down but I thought it was interesting. I'm probably going to leave that bottom plate bare aluminum, easier to make sure everything is grounded properly. Still looks pretty good I think, nice uniform tone. Sand blasted aluminum starts off very bright and crystal looking like the inside of a geode but turns gray after a couple weeks as the surface oxidizes. The cross rails will also remain bare. They don't look bad and help with heat dissipation so I don't see any reason to change that. Anyway, that's the basic look these new lamps will have. I'll be able to offer them around the same price per watt as my current offerings.

Awesome work as usual Rahz! Man you are definitely the most underappreciated led builder out there. Get on some livestreams and spread the knowledge!! Growtube Roundtable, GreenGenes TechTalk, Tricky D show, Trichome Chasers, etc...

I always felt you needed to make a guest appearance on one of those shows. :)

@Rahz would I need 2- of the fixtures for a 42inx42in space tryin to decide between these and timbers but I like the built in fans they help a lot need your help on what would work the best with out breaking the bank

That quote was for output. The system level would be 2.85

But it's not going to play out like that. It doesn't make sense to build that when I can "upgrade" the driver for $5. But the T22 and T32 in their respective footprints will still provide around 1000 PPFD when dimmed to 2.85 umol/j.

Best price, I can put a couple of the kits in stock if you are willing to do some soldering.

I have passive T3s that will show up in stock in a couple weeks. I know I haven't mentioned them but I have all the parts and have been waiting around for component shipment for the T22s and T32s so I decided I might as well build some lamps. They're 210w output watts each and 2 would fit nicely in a 42x42 inch area. 420 watts at +50% efficiency.

Also passive T1s are in the mix and will have 7 year drivers.

I can but I'm looking at moving away from the DIY area going back to just pre-built. If you have something specific in mind and have a diagram I'll chop the rails up and drill them for you. I have 1/2" tube 1/16" thick and 1" angle 1/8" thick in stock.

My man!

This is why I shop with TastyLED.

I just want a rectangular frame to hold three 150 mm light engines using square tube, every other place I've looked at only offers frames for smaller light engines.

I'd say, 46 cm long with even spacing on center, I'd like to use the mounting holes on the side of your light engines.

I'll get a sketch with dimensions to you.
