This is a list of cannabis growing terms/techniques we have all heard many times incorrectly used. I see these words in posts and wonder to myself, 'Does this Dude even know what he's talking about?'

I'm thinking these guys read or hear something that sounds cool and starts throwing it around thinking they look like they have more grow knowledge than they do.

To be honest, it hindered my growing experience until I figured it out.

Maybe if we could collect a list to clear things up a bit, it might be a tad less confusing. Examples, please!

Here's what I see misused all the time:

SOG & SCROG: The most recent post I saw was a Dude offering advice describing Low Stress Training, calling it SCROG. All the time, I see posts talking about growing a 2 plant SCROG. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that SCROG stood for Sea of Green.

There is Sea of Green SOG & Screen of Green SCROG. SCROG you put a mesh above your plant & let it grow through the screen. SOG is a bunch of clones keep small so the canopy is the same height.

I know what Sea of Green is. And you are correct, the mesh screen and cloning are components of Sea of Green. But I was under the impression that SCROG and SOG were identical.

I am looking for other examples.

I couldn't agree more. there's a lot of disinformation.

Its good to piss on your soil or hydro every two weeks ...
Good example. This one is tricky because it is based in fact. Pee is high in nitrogen, but also high in waste/toxins from your body. I can see peeing into your compost from time to time, but directly into the plants? :spew:Every two weeks?
i heard adding lucky charms makes the buds taste magically delicious...no dude i swear.
Wow. That's a good one.

Not directly into you plant soil. Piss is high in nitrogen, and i guess a hardbody, grain loving veg-head could do it. But the average person has too many toxin's in their blood.
