Pop quiz for some of the pro's... winners get a spanking.. (^^,) ..

1) When useing Terra Vega soil mix and nutrient mix, whats should the EC be when: A) in its Grow Stage B) Flowering.

2) When growing, is there a formula to calculate your yeild when taking, Whatts, Time, No of plants, & Nutrient in to consideration?

3) Do you need to adjust the PH level when using Terra Vega Nutrient's and Terra Vega Soil.

4) Is there any way to increse your final harvest... ie cutting leves of.. using cos generator's.. incresing nutrient levels.. and using nitrogen booster products.

5) Can you give to much co2 to your plants?

6) How much taller will your plant grow when in its flowering stage.

7) Having a problem with heat... thinking of getting a cheap fridge or a Air con unit from and old car.. Work or not?

Cheers Boys n Girls..x (^^,) x..

I have never grown with terra vega but I will try to help. I really could use a good spankin :)

3) Basically if the ph is between 6-6.8 it should be fine. I would check my soil and my water just to make sure.

1) As far as ppm I try to stay around 800 ppm for growth and 1200 for flowering. I can figure out the ec once I go to my other place and check my little graph. You need to take into consideration of nutrients that may be in the soil too. I have no clue what terravega is so I dont have a clue. Usually soil with no nutes is easier to work with.

2) As far as what to expect. That is determined by size, space, lumens, nutes, air and prolly the most important would be strain. If you looked at my setup and the size and space I use... I usually get around an oz per plant. I could get more if I grow them bigger and spaced them out some. But I like the plant to concentrate on making one bud instead of lots of smaller buds.

4) I cut any big fan leaf that blocks light from a bud. Dont cut them all off but if you think its blocking light from a potential bud then cut it. I have double harvested once. I basically cut all the top buds that looked ripe and left the lower buds to mature up some. Left them for about another month till they looked ripe too. I am making my plants shorter now so the buds are ripe the first time around usually now. So I dont do that anymore.

5) I dont know this for a fact but I would say too much of anything is not good. I just let my co2 generator run when the lights are on. I have no clue how much it produces. I just run the stupid thing.

6) Usually it grows double the size of what it was when you changed to the 12/12 cycle.

7) This is a must. I dont understand why you would take an a/c out of a car but ok. A nice window unit can be picked up for fairly cheap too. Try to stay below 85*f.

I am no pro but here goes
1 terra soil that I have used had the correct ph as far as nute levels I use a chemical soil test kit and my N was on the low side a cup of urine once a month solved this. The P is on the high side but plant seem to enjoy the extra P And for K potash is on the surplus side as well. Other than urine no soil adjustments have been needed as of yet three weeks in. I believe this is idea conditions for veg once the N (nitrogen) levels came up. During flowering P&K should be raised or maintained at higher levels.
2) I believe there are many factors come into play as far as yeild is concerned. (As explained below)
3) My soil needed no adjustments using terra. But this may not be the case for all types.
4) Yeid greatly depends on many factors first and foremost genetics, lighting, soil drainage, nutes, ventalation / temp, co2 levels and proper care/ time.
5) Yes you can kill your plants if they get way too much co2 but this is highly unlikly that these levels could be achieved.
6) Your plant will doulbe to triple in size when you flower your plant.
7) A refridgerator could work but there are more convient ways to cool a room.
420 peace!!!!

Every grower has height problems when they begin. The trick is to realize your height limit, and make adjustments. Usually, the adjustments are made too late.

Best way to limit the height is to top the plant when small, and then as she grows, she will have more branches and be shorter. Since it's too late for that, all you can do it cut the main stem. Since that's pretty drastic, and will deprive you of your best main bud, it's better to bend the main stem downward. Just tie a piece of twine to the top, and pull the stem over and tie the other end to the stem about a foot down. That way, the other branches will grow more, and the buds on the main stem will continue to grow.
