How are yall? Coming from those piney trees:bigjoint:
Just moved myself out into the pines too. Fuck ATX. Tired of that place. ATX... More like far Eastern CA. Done with ATX. Bought a new house on a good chunk of land, in the sticks, loving it.
Got out of the MJ hobby though.. selling legal entheogenics. Caapi vines, psychotria, Kratom, DMT containing Acacias.
Honestly, the money is just as good when you cut the cost of carbon filtration, trimmers, keeping help happy enough to not fuck me over. All legit. Out in the open. No more dirty laundry.. and the plants are much more interesting, to me, than MJ. MJ plants have become a bore.

I throw a couple plants back in the pines and smoke on that all year.. :)

Maybe I was a tad harsh..

I just got tired of watching my friends and neighbors lose their places as $130k houses ramped up to $300k houses. Rent through the fucking roof.
Every biz I frequent closing their doors because the rent went out of control OR if they owned they couldn't refuse the money.
... Gentrification..
The things that made Austin great.. the things that brought people there in the first place.. gone or disappearing.
High rise condos on Red River.. high rise condos erecting from everyone's asshole.. people moving to music districts to come plain about the noise late at night.
Sxsw.. wouldn't be surprised if next year it become PepsiXSW..

Perhaps I was a tad harsh.. I apologize. I have a warm place in my heart for ATX. It's just not ATX any more..

And I know this makes me one of those "the good ol days" people.. and it IS kinda lame.. obviously, I'm a little bitter about seeing my city go where it has.

Me and MJ will always be friends. I regret saying it has become a "bore". Didn't mean disrespect. I just had to move on to other things.. my excitement for the plant ran dry.. lack of genetic diversity has not helped.

Watching a buddy grow pure indicas (deep chunk) plants. That has been interesting. It is a corner of the gene pool that is all new to me.

No I feel you. What me and my friends have called it was down to earth not quite hippies with a little bit of money from the city being able to invest in outdoor activities scenery events etc.
Very different than hipsters and veblens
The previous mayor etc well current and prior invited business headquarters such as dell and made it more hipstery . it's fake is all i can say

My fellow Texas growers...I'm sure y'all are aware of the TXU/Reliant free nights electricity plans and if not; I HIGHLY suggest you take a look. During my 18/6 light schedule, my bill hasn't been over $80...running 400w MH, intake/exhaust, 2 fans along with my A.C.

Lmao I'm not going to mention my power company but in my old house down the road i was running 1800w with probably 7 air conditioners threwout the house and my power company called me and was like "wow you use alot of power we are going to lower your rates" hahaha now I've been running 2k and 3 big 240v window units and I haven't got 1 bill over $200. Usually runs arou d $175 so im about to add another 2k to make a 4k flowering area and 600w in vegg

light years behind?

my indoor dank goes between $50-100 an oz depending how im feeling. i grow landrace sativas, of which ive never seen an accurate representation at a seedbank or shop. the breeder strains i have are grown just as well as anyone's. and arent exactly hard to come by

what your talking about is just problems with being black market. that doesn't mean done wrong, thats anywhere its illegal. just an inherent outcome if you dont grow your own. its not supposed to be easy for a new smoker to find a grower
Am I reading that right? $50 to a 100 and oz? I'm from Texas, but don't live there anymore. Still live in the south. I need to meet you.
