Bought one of these @ $25 just because I want to know how it performs when under-driven. Claimed stats:
200W 160mm LED COB
  • Diameter of board: 160mm
  • Emitting diameter: 155mm
  • Power: 200W
  • Current: 15A
  • Voltage: DC 12V - 14V
  • Emitting color: Cold whie (6500K), warm White (3000K)
  • RA: 85%
  • Luminous efficacy: >100LM/W
  • Usage: Video light, decoration light, indoor/ ourdoor lamp, DIY LED lights...

It'll take 20-40 days to arrive, so it'll probably be a fun surprise in my mailbox when it finally arrives.

I don't think heat management will be bad at all in the 50-100W range. I probably should have asked for specs on the individual diodes they are using (if they even exist). All the same, I love getting new toys in the mail and I plan to get my $25 worth of fun out of this :). I'll be thrilled if it happens to put out more light than 2 X V22s driven at the same wattage (though I certainly don't expect it).

search for "200w 160mm COB" or "200w sun cob" on aliexpress. I honestly am not sure who is the manufacturer, because each of the merchants seems to rename it. Sumbulbs, Chincolor, etc...

The only driver I initially had on hand to test is a cheap ~50W CV adapter - pulls 55W from the wall, but is likely only ~80% efficient... The Cob fun to play with just because it's ridiculously large, but it's any kind of efficient even running ~40W to it. It still gets quite hot to the touch after a few minutes at that relatively low wattage. I'm still working out ways to run it at lower amperage with the drivers I have laying around to see if I find a usable range or whether it needs to go into a really cool battery operated frisby.

Any update on the Sumbulbs cob?
Will she grow a plant?
I'm lacking drivers to make testing easy - I need to combine a set of leds I have to get voltage up to to at least 24V before I can easily test the frisbee at lots of varying amperage levels.. I'm sure it'll grow a plant, but I can easily tell you that it's value STINKS compared to my other chinese cob test subject:
