The problem in America is our politicians don't want change and won't waver from old conventional wisdom in fear of being voted out. Let's face it, America is not the smartest country in the world and many don't value knowledge, they value conventional wisdom even if it's flawed. Most Americans work 50-60 hours a week too tired to care, too busy to pay attention.
