When I decided to wait for the last two I didn't think it would be this long. I didn't want this to carry into the holidays. I've been real busy like many of you this time of year but tomorrow I'm going to pm everyone to let you know what's going on. Sorry for the wait but we'll get this wrapped up soon.

You know SocalRob this makes me wonder if there should be a 14 week cut-off in the rules? Some would say 12 weeks from the day you drop your beans but not everyone's running the same gear and sativa fans shouldn't be punished. Or people who want to run odd light setups shouldn't be discouraged. At 14 weeks if it didn't explode by then it's either never gonna or next time don't germ a regular of Neville's Haze.

Definitely, food for thought for the next host. I think we should have a cutoff, that would make everyone think when picking what strains to run. Two contests ago we had things get a little ugly towards the end because of this. I was hoping to avoid this but my bad, sorry guys.

well to be fair if you are in the competition then you should realize it's mostly for fun. I'm not saying there isn't skilled growers here (obviously) but I do think a whole lot of luck is involved considering how unstable it can be growing in a cup and a lot depends on just getting good genetics. IMO if you are only doing this for the prize you are doing it for the wrong reasons. I think it's petty and childish when people act like asshats in this or any other relaxed competition. I'm not a contestant and not trying to thread jack, just food for thought.

Well Brother It Shouldn't Come Down To You Making An Ultimatum Rather It Should Be up To The Individual Grower To Be Responsible Enough To Realize Shit Anit Going To Finish And They Need To Throw In The Towel Just Like I Did With My Mini Me Setup. I Made It Further Than I Thought I Would And I Gained Valuable Information For my Next Grow. Now All I Need Is To Make A New Light And I Gain 4 Inches Of Head Room

Righteo folks,
Seeing as I'm one of those that has been waiting patiently to chippity chop like a chunky Chinese chopper; you can consider it done! I'm tired of waiting too, if she's subpar smoke, I'll quick wash what I got in chilled butane (my own method). After cutting her down and burning through some scissor hash, I think that'll be an unrequired step.
My fingers still reek of old school pink bubblegum, its definitely just a smell so unmistakable! I can't remember ever growing anything with this kind of sweet mouth watering funk. I always hear "bubblegum kush" but seem to get the Kush minus the bubblegum. I don't really want to put my opinion out there just yet on the way it tastes, it was green scissor hash on top of killer bud so I'm partial!
On top of the smell, trimming was a pain in the ass. My scissors had to be cleaned twice before I was done, and it took almost an hour and a half... The leaf to calyx ratio isn't great, although I gave it a trim as close I could get after a long day, I should have lollipopped it further up and more on each branch.... I'm gonna hang her for a few days and start on the cure asap.... RH in Alaska is around 8-12% right now and the heat in the house is turned up fairly high, not a good mix for a great dry... I'll have to make up for it in the jars...
I'm not taking a swing at how much I have in hand, just a hope for double digits! Sorry its taken me a bit longer than the rest, I planned on starting earlier and that failed miserably... I planned to do LIGHT training, but I fncked that up too by constantly splitting the trunk on accident, repeatedly, now its damn near thicker than a #2 pencil.
I stopped fuckin with it after I saw more than pre-flowers, it was too late to stop her from stuttering. I also tried (not well) to feed as much as I could, I started to flush about 5-6 days too soon and that caused a small stutter. Hopefully I can run the next cup like I dream of, no problems, maintaining a constant feed supply, and never letting her run dry.... Want in one hand and shit in the other right?!
I'm not disappointed with how it turned out for me. I had fun, I learned a few things, and even if I don't win, I got some dank buds for Christmas!
I caught wind of a few things the fine supporters of this gathering have in store for the triumphant, I'll say that this time around, it'd be an honor to place in even the top 5! Thanks @Socalrob for runnin a smooth contest that has played out quite well. Those of us who abide by the rules and go with the flow never seem to have a problem coming back for multiple rounds, I'll be happy to see the familiar few that can't seem to get enough of the shit talk, next round. I plan on coming strong and feeding heavier next round, maybe bring a known producer instead of freebies too.
Good luck to all in the voting thread (are we still doing that @Socalrob ?). I hope we choose as great a host as Socalrob for next round, he (or she) will have a lot of work to do to get their show as nice as this one!
