These are a week and 2 1/2 weeks...pre nute burn. They've definately recovered from that. I had to raise the hood! I have nine going. A couple may need to be sacrificed. Again, I just do not have the heart! If it dies on its own, so be it.

They've lost a litte from these pics, but they ARE recovering.

but you have to see that with the aerogarden it is 5-7 times faster than soil and 2-3 times faster than hydro. i have gone from a seedling to a fully mature plant ready to flower in under 3.5 weeks. the only reason they are not bigger than 5 inches is that i have made sure to prune them very well, so they are short and wide. this machine will allow me (if everything works well) to have a fully mature plant in another month, because of the extremely rapid rate at which it delivers oxygen to the plant. (plus i use banana mana-my friend said it does wonders) so being able to harvest a reasonable amount every month .5 to 2 months is completely reasonable.

i just saw your new post, so you are saying that you have two going from one pod? is this working at all, becasue in theory it should becuse the roots only grow down not out, are they struggling for light at all? if this works you could greatly improve the potential of the aerogarden by having say three pods in with two plants each. this would spread them out enough and allow for a great yeild

Wow
I cant believe what I'm reading

Brnpiper....do you have more than one seed in a pod?

Vandewalle....you say another month for a mature plant? and your already at what? 2+weeks age of plants?

YOu should flower soon! very soon! now!

Listen to me....unless you have a lot of verticale space flower at no more than 4 weeks old!

This is the age that i have flowered at and i iwsh i flowered sooner

the one is more than 3 feet tall....get out your measuring tape and realize how big that actually is...

Hope i'm not being too pushhy but just want this to go good for you and another month to me untill flowering sounds like a bad idea

especially since what you said is true about the growth rate in this machine being double or at least tripled....

Peace

Actually, I have 3 in one pod, 2 in 2 other pods, and a very small one in another pod. All of them are growing well, except the smallest one in 3-podder.

And, with the added speed of the machine...THE MACHINE...lol....this fuckin thing is awesome! But, with that added boost, I'm wondering if I should be moving them under the HPS doing 12/12 a hell of a lot sooner than I had anticipated. I really want them to outgrow the hood before I move them to the closet...which is the subject of my next post! Pics too!

I would def say flower sooner than you think...

Espeacially if you have a HID light

MAn 3 in one pod! even 2!

My biggest plant over 3 foot has nearly broken the plastic hopper!
seriously it is a pretty think stem...especially at the base!

I cant imagine two or even 3 planys in one pod and having enough room to grow!

But hey i could be worng this machine is crazy!

So i say Go For It!

good luck my friend and peace to all

Ok, I had to post about this thing. It measures 2x3x6(x4 growing area...top 2 are in a separate compartment). I put lites in the top part to do clones, the HPS in the bottom for the plants themselves. In that space, I figure I could do about a dozen plants using SOG. I kind of like the idea of using the screen, but just haven't seen the benefit of one way or the other.

I'm probably going ot have to rig some sort of fan to vent the cabinet though...right??

Here's some pics. One from the outside, one showing the top part (3 lites), bottom with HPS. I got into the cabinet and closed the doors to see if there was any light leaking in...there was nothing.

I hadn't considered the size of the trunk. I am going to have to transplant them so I've got one in a pod....

Or I can just super glue the f'in thing after the plants break it. I think glue is cheaper than weed...in my area it is. LOL

NJ that is...

After the nute burn, they have to recover some. It pretty much killed most of the really big fan leaves. I'd like to let em grow a few back. Besides, I am only on the 2nd notch on the aerogarden. The hoods got at least 3 more I think...

I'd still like to take clones. Maybe I could keep the clones veging while those plants are flowering. Maybe time it so those come out and the clones go in for flowering. Would that be enough time? From what I read, 2-3 weeks to root the clone, another 2 to veg...then flower. Of course, thats NOT with LA MACHINE.

I'm using the aerogarden crap for now. But I have some foxfarm stuff coming. I need to get that going. Mylar too! I need to go look at my babies now...lol...

You could save me the trouble and just tell me how much to use now...we've got the same size resevoir.

One other comment...seems to be a hell of a lot of interest in this thing, considering the number of views this thread is getting...

Yes...go out and buy one now before the gov bans em!

That's my 3 cents

Lol thats funny you say that about the govs banning it

because my brother jsut said that same thing would happen and then i could sell it on ebay for a lot of money...

But you are right I have noticed the views of this thread and I imagine that there are many aerogarden pirate/lurkers viewing..

I believe that I and we have created a storm for these machines

maybe im just mad! AHAHHAHAAH

enough!

One other thought...would running the lights 24/7 (or at least turning them on whenever I notice they are NOT on - which would mean an additional 2-3 hours of light a day) be better or worse for them, assuming my goal is to veg them as much as possible in as short a time.

Thoughts?

The Government will not ban something that is used for growing tomatoes, no matter what other uses you find for it. In england you can go into a shop and buy seeds, yet it is still illegal for you to grow them.
