The After Burn

So I burned my plants with 1/2 strength nutes Fox Farm. This was about a week or so ago.

I knew exactly what happened as the plants were doing fine til then. Plus this was their 1st feeding.....which was done too soon.

Anyway...after a couple days (yeah I waited a bit long) I flushed thouroughly....let the plants dryout a bit for a couple days....gave a lot of water again....waited a couple days then fed @ 1/4 strength. The plants seemed to have come around.

The lower fan leaves were very yellow and drying quickly before I flushed. The new growth is fine. Green and healthy.

Like I said the bottom leaves are yellow and have some dryed out brown spots.

Now that the plants are rebounding....they seem to be liking the light feedings. But the damaged leaves seem to worsen with each feeding. Drying more and more. Some have fallen off.

Sine this was the 1st time I nute burned a plant I learned a few things....

1. Nute damaged leaves don't repair themselves...and more than likely will worsen...even after the original cause is resolved.

2. Watch the new growth to see if the plant is on the mend.

3. Future feedings make the damaged leaves burn up faster....so don't think you're doing something wrong if those leaves continue to worsen.

My nute burn experience.

found that out on my first grow. but they resulted in males. now there in the woods growing fine i took out all the 1/2 wracked fan leaves on the bottom and the tops are looking GOOD!:) we learn from our mistakes. but we can learn from rollitup too:D

I agree. This is only my 2nd go round. By the time I bought nutes for the 1st grow....the plants were ready for them. But they turned out male and hermies.... from bagseed.

This 2nd grow is WW. This time I fed a week or so early. They weren't developed enough yet.

My main reason for the thread was to share what happened after the nutrient burn. The after effects. What to expect and not to expect after clearing it up.
