Don't know how I lost your thread. Clearly we are twin sons from different mothers. Holy crap. Those Extension LED Light Lamp Adapter Converter Sockets
are awesome. The combination of splitters and flexible sockets should do wonders for side lighting/bigger fatter lower buds. I'm lovin it

yea I'm that guy.The pro grows are cooking em too.I've tried dif. heights now the're at 28" above and about 4 weeks into flowering the tips turn brown then spreads till the whole leaf is crispy. They curl up and down and its random of which leaves die.not just top or bottom. They are in sunshine #4.fox farms food.6.8 ph.been giving em calmag and iron lately still death.I'm giving up.Going back to hps.only problem I had with those was paying the power bill
Post pics in the Problems forum? I have 2 Spectras... had some trouble, but not like what you are describing..

Also have 2 progrows.

Curling up sounds like heat..

Kool- once again... missed all the action... wtf... sorry brossif, looked fuckin' sweet! Pushing 2 O's with both plants? Fantastic... I ran CFL/HID combo before moving to LED's and have always eyeballed those LED bulbs in lowes, always seemed like they would be the new wave

I picked up a new 22w/1600 lm 3000K bulb from Lowes ($35), see pics, also a quick update on my BrandX WHx. For seeds that went through washer and dryer, they look amazing. Last 2 pics are with/without my ufo.

After asking Polyarcturus (BrandX) about the light green, but otherwise very healthy plants, he told me the WHx is both a light and nute nympho, so I doubled the ppms to 400 and flipped on the ufo yesterday, but unplugged it after adding the new bulb.

I have a clone in lower left corner which is proper shade of green, so it's not the nutes, or lighting

You can click on my sig to see my grow

Hey PF, what's up? I tell ya, I look at that setup and all I think is that you should come up with some kind of reflectors. Look at all the light being thrown out on the sides not facing the plants. Maybe a trip to the .99/Thrift store is in order? Maybe something craptastic like these reflectors made from the tops of those round to-go tins that they use for hot food. Cut them in thirds or quarters and position them accordingly. Some of those bulbs you have are made for lighting up large areas, not specific areas so those reflectors would up your lumens/photons in your grow area better than what's reflecting off the walls. Maybe up it around 10% and I think that's worth it. Happy Growing PF, ye olde "White" Knight you ;).

Damn good idea FJ! Yeah like a AL turkey roasting pan. DOH :dunce: Sometimes I get caught up in the intricacies that I miss such things. Good to have friends who know a thing or two.

I'm getting ready to replace the crappy vanity fixture with one that is substantially stronger, and with better Q sockets. It's also 3 bulb, which should fit into a turkey pan.

my first grow ever was off a regular LED flood light and 3 cfl spirals. thats it. baby got 4 feet tall and had some popcorn buds, course i didnt even know how to spell ph at the time. yeah, regular ass bulbs work and they save lots of money and you can play around hanging some on either side and having them switch halfway thru the day. really boots the auxins, heath robinson style.

Chroni, your PM box is full! here's my message, on the way out the door now so I will re-read this thread when i'm back!

Hey bro

Running a single BB in my multi-strain atm. Was wondering if you could give me your thoughts on it?

Particularly, did yours have INSANELY HUGE fan leaves in veg? mine are literally triple the size of any other strain running under identical conditions heh.

Also doesnt seem to respond particularly well to LST. How did yours respond to training? IIRC you mainlined them in the end?

Ima dig out your circus of light thread later - just wondered if you had any comments in hindsight. :P

Somehow my sub to this got deleted. Tripped across it this morning.

I can't help but wonder why FJs result does not stack up

^^^Is probably something like poor diodes, poor ratio, poor grower ;), you name it. They were older "Epis" so compared to newer NWs they probably aren't running close enough to spec to get the broader spectrum this generation of diodes can produce. But I'm open to change. It's just that I find it so hard to find good clear information on growing with LEDs and have never been impressed with the white grows I've seen, though I can't say I'm out there looking for them. I use whites to veg and germ, I'm just not impressed with them in flower. Still it's LEDs so "things change" as Don Ameche once said :).

Insanely huge fan leaves? Hmmmm....nope i dont think so...but im not sure how many phenos Green house seeds has of this....i know i got 2 different ones

My LST was pretty average to tell you the truth....i just sort of let it go in the end...didnt keep on top of it and as a result my canopy wasnt even. No mainlining done. (didnt know about it)

Nice strain though...although that is a bit bias as it is the only 'true genetics' i have finished. My other grows were done with random bagseed.

Whatever works, but spectrally (and photosynthetically), NWs have less blue and more yellow-red, which plants need more than blue
