The COB club

The first rule of COB club. Always talk about your cobs?

Anyway, just finished hanging up my Tasty T4-2100s and putting away the HIDs and fans. They're hanging over what is supposed to be Romulans, but... I dunno... think they're a chuckers special. They don't look very Romulan to me...

So a mystery run here. They're looking good. 9 days since flip, so... let's bring on the buds.
T4? Nice. I use three T1s. Two T1-2100s and a T1-V196 new model with a Seventh Gen Vero29C 3500k 90CRI in between. These 3 for a 4x2 closet. Thinking about ordering a T2 for a friend next month. I think Rahz is replacing his 2100 series with his Vero29C-based TX-V series.

@Budley Doright Check out some of these Tasty COB grows, beginning on page 1. Anything with a T, a number, and a dash. Like T1, T4, T3. Although some people here prefer to have their lights raised pretty high, it seems (nothing necessarily wrong with that, I just keep my lights fairly low on the canopy.)

I can see how you got hooked...lol I'm thinking about some Tasty gear for my mom's room now. And a bigger mom room...lol

day#25 from the flip I got the cobs the day I flipped before that the plant was under hps so this is not a full led grow this light pulls 340 w. to run & I believe their claim that this replaces a 600 hps might be close my electric bill last month for the whole house including the grow was $70.00 if this grow goes well & I get dialed in I plan on ordering another led possibly identical & a 4x4 tent I can operate both lights for slightly more than a 600 hps & considerable less than a 1000 hps my cobs are Cree 3070s image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

I'll throw my hat in, why not.

Running cobs in veg only, 8x 3590's @ 1.4a over a 3x7ft ebb and flow table.

I got the kits from Timber Grow Lights cos I was too pussy to build my own after building this whole place out from the ground up. Those guys do a top job and hooked me up with 5000k cobs and 240v power to match my circuits.

IMG_2545_1.jpg

Gavitas in the flower room next door.

Larry OG, Blackjack, 24K Gold and Gorilla Glue.

Fully stocked veg in here right now as you can see. Lights around 20" off canopy.

IMG_2542_1.jpg

Canopy of Blackjack clones, thick and lush and plants stay very squatty with tight internoding. Didn't run this before the cobs so can't say if its the light or not.

IMG_2538_1.jpg

Larry's are wanting to be much more lanky and hard to train. I top twice and let 'em go.

IMG_2541_1.jpg

This table is all a bit too full if i'm honest, so will be culling well before the flip.

I expect one day I will change up flower to cob also, but invested in the Gavitas for now.

Well here is one I built for a friend.

4 x CLU58-1825
These are being pushed by 2 x HLG-240H-2100B

They are currently running at about 100 watts per cob.

I have the math done and now watts per cob based on potentiometer settings.

Where I am lost is how do I know amount of light output per watt?

How do I do the math to determine this.

The 1825 data sheet just confuses me.

Hi guys nice setups! I built my cob lights last year and have not had great success, yet! this time I have paid alot more attention to the garden and they are looking great! I have 10 Chery pie girls under 1200w of cob 3070 3k in coco. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

And so a sad ending to my story.

1350 watts of 3590s in a 4X8 got me probably about 22 zips. 600+ grams.

Not the fault of the COBs though. I ran into lockout due to salt build up. They stalled about week 4 and I spent the next 4 trying to save what I could. My fault for playing around with my watering regimen just so I could go play cards. That won't happen again.

However! The Romulan girls I was so cruel to did put out some of the frostiest bud I ever seen in spite of the lockout.

Round two is under way with the same strain.

This is a great thread! I remember a time when LEDs were new and so few knew what they were capable of. And even fewer had the balls to try it. There were threads upon threads bashing LEDs, and threads within those threads bashing white light. It is quite refreshing to see that times have changed!

All your pics look great guys! Keep them coming!
