Bubz23!!!!

i am waiting on my 6 1825s they are due to be shipped today is what he said...

i want to ask you ... What Driver are you using to get that output on your cobs?

i have really been struggling to get my brain around the drivers and i just seem to be getting greek in reply to my questions....

i think i will be under driven with what i ordered. which is this:
HLG-185H-48A got 3 of them coming and 6 1825 3500Ks want to run 2 cobs to a driver

i am guessing with 2 1825's on it the max output is 100 watts per cob for equivalent of 200 watts per driver for the pair of 1825s.

what driver gets you 160W each???

please let me know

Thanks !

Looks like the 320 series will get you there, but I'm not the best resource for driver selection. I would probably go with the 320-3500 in your setup, but thats just me. How are you wiring them?

Hey there!

I am running 6 drivers one for each cob. Mean well hlg 120-48a to achieve running these hard at 160w. The reason for this is as I obtain more cobs I will not have to buy more drivers but will be able to run the cobs way more efficiently.

So with that driver if you add another 1825 the cob drops from 1-150 to 2-75 watts? but can give a more even spread of light avoiding hot spots?

I think i am getting it .... the math of the driver to cob is where i am lost, but i think i know enough now to be happy and let the flowers grow !

nice pics of your plants by the way!

If you are wiring in Series add the total voltage of your chips. For example Vero 29 D bin is a 36 V chip. Since I am runnin 6 this would be ~216 volts.

When you look at your driver specs there will be an output voltage range. Stay within this range and you will be golden.

320 h 1400 b has an output of 114-229v, so this driver would run 6 COBs.

The catch is @1400 ma, a 36v COB is only 50 watts

36 * 1.4 = 50.4

i dont know how to make sense of the charts,
but i ordered 3 of the HLG-185H-48A and i plan to wire 2 of the 1825s in parallel. so i will have 3 sets of 2 1825s .

cant wait to see the effect on the flower patch ....:bigjoint:

I like it! I think you and your ladies will really like them too :weed:
I have the same driver and run 2 1818's parallel and they rock! So bright its crazy.
Post pics when you get it going!

I'm getting ready to order some cobs myself and am looking at getting 8 Citi 1212's and running them at or near full power. I'd like to have a mixed spectrum for Veg to flower. 3500k is what I see most using, any recommendations? I thought i read somewhere mixing different Kelvin cobs doesn't give full spectrum though? It was more or less adding the 2 together and makes a spectrum in between?
