So, this is my first grow Journal as well as my first attemp into the world of Hydro. As this is my first of MANY posts, I thought I would explain a little about my past. I have braught three successful crops to harvest ( When I lived at home, my folks let me fuck around w/ a soil setup)Finally I have a place and girlfriend that will allow me to continue what I always knew was going to be a great hobbie. I Have decided to jump feet first into a DWC setup. I used to be a member Of overgrow and a customer of Heavens stairway (And am a huge supporter of Marc "the prince of Pot" emery, he is a true pioneer) Anyway.. I will post a few pictures to show my current setup.

First question will a 1.2 gallon per minute with a two foot Air Dispurser ( The long tube) and an Airstone be sufficiant for an 18 gallon tote half filled w/ water? the second question is are the brown on the roots something to be concerned with?

On the bottom of my Veg closet you will see the first babies at roughly two weeks since showing roots. In the middle, you will see where I keep my FAILING miserably at Cloning (none of my previous grows were continued, so Ive never cloned) Im messing around w/ differen setups now and Hopefully find something that works. My friend just puts them on a plate in a little free standing water and mists them twice/ three times a day and he usually gets a hundred percent. That methed didnt work for me, so I rigged a setup with an airstone burried in a hydroton and filled w/ water so the clipping sit on top of the rocks and water is blown up onto the rockwool, but its not working either (three weeks after taking cuttings and no roots yet.) Any suggestions on a smallish, cheapish setup would be greatly appreciated.

cloning is very easy, and cheap...

All you need is a clone dome, rooting hormone (gel or powder),
1" cubes, some light, and keep them warm with a heat pad or
something.

You don't need that hydroton, and your cubes are too big.
The smaller cubes induce rooting because it they are closer
to the ground and kept warmer...a pic of my basic setup...

Hope it helps some...

thanks for your help... I had today off and read up... Iwent to the store and got a humidity dome... Seems a lot of people have good success with them in a small amount of free standing water.
